U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the launch of TechGirls, an educational initiative for girls from Muslim countries interested in technology.
"It will bring teenage girls from the Middle East and North Africa for an intensive month of educational activities here in the United States," Clinton said Wednesday.
Clinton made the announcement at the closing luncheon honoring the first class of participants from TechWomen, a public-private partnership that brought emerging female leaders in technical fields from predominately Muslim countries to the United States for one month.
The women were paired with 24 leading, U.S. technology companies in Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco area, including giants Google Facebook and Intel for a project-based professional mentorship.

I’m glad the government has plenty of money to fund this stuff.
The US government paying for foreign muslims to become high tech is certainly a worthy reason to borrow from the Chinese.
So which high technologies are they teaching these TechGals - how to take off and fly (but not land) a highly advanced ailiner, or how to use a cell phone to trigger an explosive device?

This is a bunch of horsesh*t. We have over 9% unemployment in our own country. So this administration is providing technology education to Muslim women from other nations?
Why don’t they give that training to Americans who can put it to use improving our economy? Idiots running the country.

Gheit made the above statement on a broadcast over Nile TV in Egypt.
He certainly doesn’t appear to be an observant Muslim, but I have no doubt he thinks of himself as being a Muslim. The whole nonsense with using NASA to make Muslims feel good about their contributions to math and science was just bizarre. Now this which treads dangerously close to government sanctioned religious establishment.
This man is not even remotely close to being a Christian. The whole religious charade this poseur has created is something which should be hammered in the lead up to Nov 2012. There are mountains of evidence to counter his Christian claims. Polling shows the more this issue is raised the greater the doubt becomes in the electorate’s mind.
I wonder who came up with this idea.
