No, sorry, I want to to describe in greater detail why you’re using the “wackjob” word.
So far, all I’ve seen from you is “he says things that many Americans agree with, but I don’t, and everything I don’t like I’m going to call “crazy” or “wackjob”.
where did you get that quote from? I’m not contesting the quote. But, you need to prove your quote. So, find the original source.
C’mon, you should know better than to say that. I know where you’re coming from, and that’s fine.
But the website said there were phone calls made. So it isn’t an online poll.
Keep thinking, you can find something that’s somewhat obvious.
It’s 4 years later.
Rand Paul is a powerful Tea Party force. Ron is a tea party force as well.
And Ron Paul is a true conservative, and wars don’t look as great when Obama is doing them.
I’m not saying the poll is accurate though. It’s plausible.
I love that Palin/Paul ticket.
Ron Paul is assassination insurance for Palin. The elites are the ones who do the killing, and the elites hate Ron Paul more than Sarah Palin.
And Ron Paul is strong with Independents.
But those new republicans who liked trotsky and humphrey might go home to the democrat party. perry ran al gore’s campaign in texas in 1988, don’t forget.
if there is one point of agreement with a pedophile about gravity, does that mean i would vote for the pedo?
still trying distraction and diversion
and ignoring all the points made
typical of people that can't defend their position
only in your definition of the word - not the sane world's definition
Thanks for a link. I don’t really want to read whole books. I do put links to them, but “find what I’m talking about in 400 pages” doesn’t work for me.
See my stuff in Rick Perry threads for what I think is well formatted research. title, link, relevant section.
Often, people don’t have what they think they have.
I looked at your link. He says people should be banned for conduct. Presumably they could be banned for sodomy?
I personally am not in favor of gays in the military.
I don’t know enough about Lew Rockwell. I know that he’s disliked here.
About Barney Frank, I don’t know. Certainly Barney Frank is bad. So’s Obama. And often Ron Paul criticizes Obama on Foreign Policy, and people here attack Ron Paul and defend Obama. So, it’s not quite as simple as you think it is.
I do support that bill. I do think that it should be left to the states. And I think that’s the right tea party position. Limited Constitutional Government.
I do like Ron Paul. And I’m not a libertarian. But I’ll say that Ron Paul Supporters Are Annoying. (RPSAA) I’m over on RonPaulForums. And I come closer to getting banned over there than here. And they rarely ban anybody. Rarely do I scream at someone and call them names here. There, all the time. But the people who like Ron Paul are not Ron Paul.
Conservative = Limited Constitutional Government.
That’s my definition.
What is your definition?
There is video of Sarah Palin, months before McCain picked her, saying Ron Paul was “cool”.
Doesn’t mean a lot, but compared to the attacks from every candidate in 2008, it’s pretty good.
Giuliani and Romney and McCain didn’t say Ron Paul was cool. Those Trotsky loving Humphrey Democrats never had anything nice to say about Ron Paul ever. Sarah Palin did say Ron Paul was cool.
And Sarah Palin did endorse his son Rand Paul.
Palin / Ron Paul 2012
Palin / Rand Paul 2016
Rand Paul / Hot Young Catholic Conservative Hispanic Female 2020.
Hide and watch. If Ron Paul reaches double-digits in the Texas GOP primary, I'll be shocked. Ron Paul is not a serious candidate for the President of the United States.
You don't really believe something just because a website says it, do you?
It also says this:
Poll Sample: 882 active Republican voters in Texas
There is nothing scientific about this poll. These "882 active Republican voters" are most likely chosen from some base that includes a lot of Paul cultists. I wouldn't be surprised if some Paul cultist(s) engineered this poll.
You have a lot of enthusiasm. It's a shame you have to waste it on such a loser like Paul. You should back a real conservative.
What’s your username at RPF? I’ve got an account. Haven’t posted since I joined up here, though. Those nuts don’t like me because I have the audacity to believe Ron Paul is the one primarily responsible for getting elected, and I have a positive opinion of Bachmann and Palin and will defend them against unfair attacks.
BTW, it isn’t a whole book. He has a short chapter entitled “Central Intelligence Agency,” in which he argues that we should abolish the CIA. Look, I supported Ron Paul for nearly four years, up until this book was released and he launched a campaign for the Presidency on “Drugs equal religion” and “Did we violate Pakistan’s sovereignty when we got Bin Laden?”
You might not know much about Lew Rockwell, but he’s the guy responsible for the racist newsletters and he also published this on his website in May: http://www.lewrockwell.com/reed/reed206.html, and that is the epitome of what Rockwell believes. Ron Paul continues to associate with him, even naming him the co-chair of his ‘08 campaign.
Ok good sleuthing. If you’re going to be doing battle, you’ll want the original LA Times article, which is available online.
I don’t have too many foreign policy opinions. I think we should have less foreign policy. And I think Ron Paul should talk about foreign policy less. Because a lot of people here, Republicans, don’t like his foreign policy.
You’re defending Obama by the way. I typically don’t defend Obama too much.
I would like to argue that in 1988, he was running against liar RINO “no new taxes” George Bush.
I know that there are quotes from that era where he is critical of the Reagan Administration (which is different from Reagan). Bill Bennett was a Democrat when he was picked by Reagan. He switched to Republican right away.
Bill Bennett was “Reagan Administration”.
I figure to make this case I’d need to find a bunch of anti Bush quotes from 1988. If I can find quotes where Ron Paul is saying that the Reagan Administration was infiltrated by neocons, and the true conservatives in the Reagan Adminstration are being stabbed in the back, I’d want to use those quotes. But I don’t know that quote exists.
oh no way i’m saying that.
I tell them they’re stupid a lot. And the mods seem to think that destructive grassroots activity should be encouraged.
I don’t know where you’re getting drugs equal religion.
Talking about sovereignty is conservative. It’s not popular, but it is traditional conservative and not neocon.
And it’s not crazy.
I know that Lew Rockwell was involved in some way with the racist newsletters, but a random person seemingly wrote the worst stuff, but Ron Paul accepts that these things did go out under his name.
It should be noted that Palin came closest to endorsing Paul. The only thing she would say about other candidates was that they “said the right things” about energy policy. Her reaction to Paul, on the other hand, was visibly positive (starts at 3:04):
