The voluminous report names 178 educators, including 38 principals, as participants in cheating. More than 80 confessed. Confessed? I'll bet they went on a rant about how proud they was to do it, all the time doing that back-and-forth cobra-head thing. Confessed, hah.

Beverly Hall, the now-disgraced and resigned former superintendent, is just another of a string of criminal-class, affirmative-action, equal-opportunity grifters who prey on children and communities to advance themselves politically and financially. For breaking the public trust, she should be in jail. When she was superintendent of San Francisco schools she won “Superintendent of the Year”. She should win “Inmate of the Year”. ...and I bet this oaf has several pensions. What a loser putz.

It was those darned Amish people that run Atlanta—just like Detroit, etc. Hall recieved hundreds of thousands in fat bonuses for being such a great leader.

Didn’t the lead dog in this cheating scandal come from a New Jersey district where the same crap was being investigated?

“Everything about socialism is sham and affectation.” - Economic Harmonies 23.11; Ch.23 Evil; Frederic Bastiat 1801-1850
...Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on. All these plans as a whole with their common aim of legal plunder constitute socialism.

I guarantee that if this went on in Atlanta, it certainly went on in the Chicago Public Schools. A great deal of time is spent preparing for these tests. I know that copies of the tests have been given to teachers to help them prepare. The results on these tests are supposed to reflect the quality of instruction in the so-called “content areas” of everyday instruction. They are not supposed to be a reflection of months of purposefully instructing students to pass these specific tests.

APS became such a data-driven system, with unreasonable and excessive pressure to meet targets, that Beverly Hall and her senior cabinet lost sight of conducting tests with integrity, the report said.
Here's what it really meant: "There was no way in the world that we could meet these targets and failing to do so would make us look bad so we decided to cheat."

What a mess. Some kid will probably sue the APS because they were told they are smarter than they really are.
