[history]
Texas thumbed its nose at the White House and the United Nations on Tuesday as it cleared the way for Thursday's execution of Humberto Leal Garcia Jr., a Mexican national who was denied access to his nation's consulate after being arrested for a San Antonio rape-murder.

The scale of the Mexican invasion—millions have scoffed at our laws and violated our borders—and the fact that tens of thousands of the invaders have committed serious crimes here, makes their rights to “consular access” a sick joke. The corrupt Mexican government doesn't have enough consulates to keep up with the Mexican criminals who do murder and mayhem from sea to shining sea. Access for Turks, Norwegians, or Serbs is one thing, but the sheer scale of the Mexican criminality is unique.
The whole consular access thing is overblown in any case. Consuls can notify a criminal's family when they are locked up. And they may be able to provide a list of Spanish speaking lawyers. But they certainly won't pay for a lawyer. This, by the way, is the limits of what US Consuls do when Americans are locked up abroad—notify your folks, provide a list of English speaking local lawyers and wish you luck.

Sadly, I have to laugh at you saying this can be turned into an anti Obama campaign ad.
Oh it can be, should be, but democrats hand over their own heads on a platter every day - and the republicans hand it right back and never take advantage.
I despise the republicans for allowing out and out wacko leftism into our mainstream, without ever fighting it straight on.

Add my family to your list of non-Dallas fans. We’ll keep most of the rest of Texas for now.

It seems reasonable to me. Maybe a nice bow and a card with the corpse.

Hispanics in the US - if they do not say they want to have mexican officials meet with them before questioning for crimes, and say they are mexican citizens, we ought to assume that this means they are US citizens. That is exactly what Texas assumed. It is not an unreasonable assumption. As all of that pertains to 0bowMao; he says AZ can't ask for proof of citizenship but TX must ask for proof of citizenship. He threatens AZ with the DoJ for asking and threatens TX with the UN and some international treaty for not asking.
Really proves what an anti-American punk he is.

(Obama siding with the rapist of a 16 year old was not smart.
That can be turned into a nation-wide campaign ad.
Rick Perry stood up against Obama to protect the country while Obama defended a child rapist.)
I certainly agree...Whoever our nominee is should use this ammo. Also I just hope the folks who will be doing the nitty-gritty advising of our candidate are chronicling all the other, many idiotic and sometimes downright UnAmerican things the “won” has done.

A very good idea, and the whole shebang can be delivered by a “Corpseman” of 0bummers choosing. Nothing but winners all the way around.....

He threatens AZ with the DoJ for asking and threatens TX with the UN and some international treaty for not asking. That was my objection long ago. You can't ask if they're illegal or not citizens but yet you're supposed to make sure they have consultation with their embassy.
If they are here illegally, screw 'em. They have no protection. If they can't prove who they are or where they are from are we just supposed to go down the whole list of embassies asking each one to send a rep to talk to the killer?
