(Reuters) - Former Representative Elizabeth Holtzman, who was the youngest woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, said on Tuesday she is considering running for New York's Congressional seat left vacant by disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner.
A special election has been called for September 13 to fill the seat from the ninth district, which encompasses parts of the city's Queens and Brooklyn boroughs.

Thank God that Jacob Javits ran on the Liberal line after losing the primary to D’Amato in 1980. D’Amato won that race and spared us Sen. Holtzman.
Those of us within range of NYC media can state with authority that Liz Holtzman makes Hillary Rodham Clinton and Michelle Obama seem like Donna Reed and Diahann Carrol in their prime. I AM NOT KIDDING.
If she were more of a babe, Weiner would be interested in her seat.
On the other hand, today she is close to 70, audibly senile, and crazy as a s$%#house rat. As an elected official in a particularly Red era in NY poltics, she proved to be such a talentless psycho that today, even as a lesbo-recluse, she frightens Democrats. The upside is that she could win—despite the party's best efforts—in Weiner's wacko district. She'd be great advertising for the GOP in the 2012 elections.
