Let's Just Say...Perry, Palin...What Will Bush Do?
7-5-11 | Self

Posted on 07/05/2011 4:47:58 PM PDT by CincyRichieRich

The New York Slimes today published an editorial witht the premise that Bush hates Perry and vica versa...ok, I don't necessarily care about what the MSM thinks or is agitating to undermine us. But I am intrigued and curious as to the truth of such "rivalry".

What is the real story on this? Bush did spend too much money.

Do Bush and therefore Rove both hate Perry? Is there really a rivalry?

Will Bush endorse Perry with any VP namely (IMHO) Palin? or Bachman?

I believe if Bush doesn't endorse him/them (and I am predicting Perry runs, obviously - and even Palin with one of them as a VP choice) then he'd be viewed as a back stabber/traiter (yep, strong words, but I'm tired of silence and Rove's antics).

My guess is that GWB will not endorse anyone in the GOP primaries and then will quietly support the eventual GOP nominee whoever it is.

I’ve read the Bush family supported Kay Bailey Hutchinson in the governor’s race.

Bush was a TARPy RINO.

Romney is a RomneyCARE RINO.

Rove is a Backstabbing RINO.

Perry is a Gardasil-loving RINO.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

Bush will support the GOP nominee, who ever it is......until then, he’ll stay out of the limelight and respect the process. Who could want more.....

Yes, they did.

They know Perry. Enough said.

I concur with Post #2.

Seems like this question doesn’t really matter very much, pardon my candor.

Probably a planted story to aid Perry in blue states and swing states. It will also paint him as an outsider among the Tea Party folks. This is a fraudulent claim. Perry is very much an insider and an establishment guy. Karl Rove and other neocons would prefer him to Palin.

You are, IMHO, quite correct.

I must say, at this point in my life, that I truly don’t give a rat’s arse what Bush or anyone else thinks, anyway.

It would be criminal to have Palin be number two to Perry.

First the NYT can NEVER be trusted when it comes to Republican politics.

Seems to me that the slimes are trying to pretend the Bush and Perry are not friends. My guess is it’s in order to get Perry the nomination, and to silent the critics that Perry is Bush III? Why would they do this is another debate? Perhaps they have that October surprise for Perry?

"The vaccine, Gardasil, is manufactured by Merck,
which was represented in Austin by the lobbyist Mike Toomey,
who was chief of staff for Mr. Perry from 2002 to 2004. "

CDC: "As of June 22, 2011, approximately 35 million doses of Gardasil®
were distributed in the U.S. and VAERS received a total
of 18,727 reports of adverse events

As of June 22, 2011 there have been a total 68 VAERS reports
of death among those who have received Gardasil®."

“Foaming at the mouth, shock, seizures, paralysis,
coma-even death have been reported
as a result of taking the vaccine Gardasil from Merck ... “

“ Critics rip Perry’s vaccine mandate
Governor rejects opponents’ calls to reverse order
AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry stood firm Monday against a political firestorm generated by his
order that sixth-grade girls be inoculated against a sexually transmitted virus linked to cervical cancer.
Social conservatives from Texas to Washington called on Perry to reverse his order making
Texas the first state to require the vaccine, saying the mandate makes sex seem permissible
and that parents should be the ones to decide whether to immunize their daughters.
And several Texas lawmakers expressed outrage at Perry for circumventing the legislative process. “

"RP65 – Relating to the immunization of young women
from the cancer-causing Human Papillomavirus.
Friday, February 02, 2007 • Executive Order
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
Rules. The Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner
shall adopt rules that mandate the age appropriate vaccination
of all female children for HPV prior to admission to the sixth grade."

The definition of mandate is a command by a person,
group, or organization (the 'mandator') to another
(the 'mandatary') to act in a particular way, or here
to ingest, inject, imbed a poison or other substance
they do not want and for which informed consent was
never taken.

"Gardasil Causes 400 Percent More Deaths than Other Common Vaccine
A federal report has concluded that the human papillomavirus (HPV)
vaccine Gardasil has a 400 percent higher rate of adverse effects
than another comparable vaccine, the Menactra anti-meningitis shot. "

Bush administration officials actively campaigned for Kay Bailey when she ran against Perry in the primary. Cheney did radio spots, Ma and Pa Bush endorsed her, Karen Hughes supported her. Members of the Bush administration were trying hard to get rid of Perry.

All that... and no answer to how many kids were forced to get Gardasil.

I’m starting to think you don’t know the answer.

The NYT is also 100% in the Obama camp. They are equivalent to Joseph Goebbels fanaticism and propaganda for the Obama camp.

If they start pretending to just report the news when it comes to the Republicans, then you can bet rest assured that is the candidate we do not want. The fact that Karl Rove is endorsing him should alarm you too.

We need outside candidate if our country is to have any chance. Another 4 years of Obama would be disastrous.

There's always rivalry in politics. Rivalry isn't always hatred, though.

I doubt Bush and Perry "hated" each other any more than Reagan and Bush's father "hated" each other.

Politicians being practical people can smooth over ruffled feathers if they want to, so there's no reason for resentments to fester.

But if Perry runs he'll slam Bush to build up his own conservative credentials, and Bush will respond by playing coy about endorsement or support.

Ex-Presidents don't want to get too closely tied to any candidate for the nomination. I could see Bush making quiet positive noises about Romney or Huntsman if Perry is in the race and sniping at the Bushes.

But Palin? That would be interesting. The fact that W's not expected to make an explicit endorsement would probably prevent him from getting in the middle.

Yes, Bush will endorse the Republican ticket no matter who it is. He will endorse it, and the ticket and party will thank him and ask him to go back to being quiet.

Why on earth do people think Palin would ever be the VP candidate? She ran once for Vice President, and she is never going to do it again. Governor Palin will run for President or not run at all. She is not going to play for 2nd fiddle again.

If Perry runs and Palin doesn't, Perry would probably look to someone like Rubio as his VP running mate. You can already begin to see that train leaving the station with Rubio being more aggressive about attacking Hussein and giving more quote worthy statements and speeches. He knows any nominee is going to look at him as their running mate as a means to win both Florida and a higher share of Hispanic voters.
