By readopting his arrogant professor persona and likening Republican stonewalling on the budget to Sasha and Malia procrastinating on homework, the president is putting himself on dangerous ground for 2012. When President Obama used the example of his daughters finishing their homework on time to scold Republican lawmakers for putting off tough decisions about the budget, you may have realized, with some horror, that the president had become narrative-challenged.
The story of The One, the Messianic Figure, the Soulful Black Man Come to Redeem a Fallen America, the Quintessential Stranger Who Was Thus the Quintessential Figure of American Democracythe thrilling, universal tale of Obamas rise through a torn family with a world-wandering mother and an absent father had become tired and irrelevant. It was all used up.
Instead, you were left with the off-putting image of the dry, arrogant law professor, with his superior intellectual airs, that had occasionally appeared during the last presidential campaign. Back then, that unlovely side of the candidate was quickly eclipsed by The Ones universal tale. Now it has emerged as the only storyline the president can muster. Which means that Obama and the Democrats could be in big trouble.
Tea Partiers anger runs on feelings that they have been belittled by liberal elites who are far removed from the countrys immediate everyday interests. And here was Obama on Wednesday, fulfilling every aspect of the frightening chimera that the the new American right has turned him into. By comparing the Republicans, unfavorably, to his two children, he was dismissing their concerns as childish and unserious. You recalled his allusion to the New Testament during his inaugural address: We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.

Snort!
Daffy Duck could beat Ubama.
Obama and his “teachable moments” are a joke!
The leftists are desperately trying to convince themselves that the problem is that their messiah is TOO SMART to be President. When the fact is, as one commenter on this column put it, Obama is the perfect example of the arrogance of the second-rate.

Assh*le.
Modern presidencies and the 24 hour news cycle have the effect of stripping away the carefully constructed facades of the person occupying the Oval Office. Obama’s once-vaunted ‘coolness’ is, more and more, being seen for the arrogance it really is. His contempt for anyone who opposes him is almost palpable. That might work in a dictatorship but it won’t fly here in America. We like our leaders to be bold but not arrogant and contemptuous. I think most Americans expect the president to criticize his political opposition. That’s just partisanship and although it’s often denigrated, partisanship remains the coin of the political realm. It’s Obama’s detachment and superiority complex that is on display these days and it isn’t pretty. The poor economy will sink him in the next election but his sneering attitude will just make it easier for voters to decide that one presidential term is enough for Barack Hussein Obama.
Someone posted a pic the other day with Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny with the poster on the tree that says “Cracker Season”...
anybody have that (for me to steal)?
Thanks, stolen for future use...
“tactic”????? no- its his make-up...its in his DNA.....its the way he’s been brought up....he’s an arrogant, narcissist...its not about America- its about obama....it comes involuntarily to the carnivalbarker in the WH...
i told my daughter two years ago, obama has no use for the people who did not vote for him....
Sadly, he’s not running on the GOP ticket.
That’s pretty good from someone who hasn’t made sure his group’s class project (BUDGET) was done and handed in for two years straight.
Love this Poster!
Here's another along the same lines.
It looks like "CHODE" ... vulgar, but appropriate.
Truth be told, he has no use for anyone but himself.
