I’m not as shocked as some people are. The prosecution was dealt a very weak hand and the case was entirely circumstantial. It was proven that Casey Anthony was a liar, a whore, and a lousy mother. But was she proven to be a killer? I don’t know what to believe.
EXACTLY! That is why the verdict was the only just verdict.
Just as you said...”I don`t know what to believe” That is probably how the jurors felt as well, so for them to have felt that way and convicted, would have been a travesty of justice.

It was very difficult for the prosecution to prove their case because it took so long to find little Kaylee’s body.
Why would anyone put duck tape on her face if she died in an accidential drowning?
We may never know the circumstances of her death but by lying for so long....Casey helped to destroy any evidence that would have told the truth about what happened.
Also the police who delayed investigating the meter reader’s reports of seeing bones in the woods contributed to the degradation of the evidence.
I expected at least ‘manslaughter’ verdict so I’m still shocked.
