I have been a Florida resident for 37 years.....
Today I am embarrassed and ashamed of citizens of my own state...
..and I know the ramifications of this hideous verdict will be directed toward Florida..
...even though the state prosecutors, the detectives-(Yuri Melich), the reporters...were all very professional.
Florida will get a huge black eye over this...
..and I can't blame the folks around the nation and the world who is upset.
I AM LIVID....I AM IN SHOCK....OUR NATION IS IN A LOT OF TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And all we can look forward to is Jose Baez getting face time on Fox news with Geraldo.....and they can converse all they want to in Spanish.

I’m glad I didn’t get invested in this case as I did in the O.J. Simpson trial, so all I know is snippets from accidental viewings on Fox. But she looked like someone I’d want to slap.

I have solved the crime. The little girl was murdered by Colombian drug lords, and the evidence was planted by Mark Fuhrman. My only regret is that O.J. is no longer available—he and Casey would make a terrific couple.
To: caww
So then you would rather innocent people be locked up just in case they are guilty?
To: angcat
What, the jury buys the story that the child “accidentally” drowned and the family covered it up?? Seriously! What kind of drugs were these jurors on?
Charles Manson must be like, get me these Jurors.
They’ll free me!

I believe in the Constitution. You believe in Mob Rule.Hope nobody ever kills somebody in your family. By this standard murder is now easier than getting away with shoplifting. BTW, who do you think killed the little girl? Certainly not the Casey, right?

Pretty scary that so many people buy whatever the gubmint tells them.
That “case” was garbage.
All they proved was that this woman was a mediocre to crappy mother.

Evidently, they all lived under a rock, because none of them really heard of the case before being polled for jury duty :eyeroll:
To: screaminsunshine
Yes, you did, but that doesn’t make it right. No one gets punished for the horrible death of a toddler. The perp goes back to being a party girl. No justice here. Gloat all you want, you’re dancing on an innocent child’s grave.

My understanding is that the jury was not shown conclusive evidence that Casey was doing the searches in order to kill the child. I believe the family said a pet was chloroformed.NO. The mother (Cindy) said that *she* was the one who did the search and that she was trying to type in 'chlorophyll' and accidentally got 'chloroform' in the automatic google suggestions. She said that she was searching 'chlorophyll' because she was concerned that eating grass was making her dogs sick.
The prosecution proved that she was lying and that she was, in fact, at work and using her work computer that day.
Casey was searching chloroform.
