Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
think she serving time for check charges so could still serve 4 years
I guess every mobster and hit man knows the truth, no body no crime, including skeletons. I would have convicted her.
Yes. I am. Emotion driven lynch mob. Not all but most.
It is the fact that people have come to believe that in order to convict, there must be photos of the murderer with the weapon in hand standing over the corpse screaming “I did it”. No longer is the standard of reason (not as in reasonable doubt, as in putting the pieces together, applied or is even practiced.
What if it was found out that there was jury misconduct at this point, such as talking to media, reading newspapers, or just got pissed and wanted out of there? Could the State of FL or the judge "un-do" today's verdict?
How can they continue holding her?
>>Now CASEY gets to face the COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION!!!<<
That is what will make her rich.
Notoriety = Publicity.
Today’s public doesn’t care about bad or good, just eyeballs and web hits.
It started when we eliminated shame as something bad.
OK People let’s get a grip.
I wanted her to fry for killing her baby too, but...
No witnesses, little evidence. It’s not like they had video of her doing it.
I was always questionable on Murder1 but thought they would settle for one of the lesser murder charges.
But once you rule out murder1 - there is no history or claim of child abuse, no evidence of it... I think even the juros are going to have a hard time explaining why they think she did it but could not find some way to hang her based on the EVIDENCE GIVEN
I would have been a holdout in this making it a hung jury at minimum
Ireally doubt that sicne she has already been in jail for 3 years.I’m afraid that whe her parensts walked out of the coutromm they realizd that she will be coming home to be their nightmare again....
Ones I saw looked like OJ jury
a defense attorney’s wet dream
they won’t convict anyone short of a klukker
I agree completely - I’m stunned too at the stupidity of this jury. But I said all along that the anthony’s deserve what they get when they bring her home. This time, however, she will be making tv appearances and making money - soon she will leave her parents in the dust
I said earlier today that if this was a black woman, we wouldn’t even have heard about it.
Not even child abuse. These days, I guess it’s “abusive” to yell at your child, but not to chloroform them, then suffocate them and toss them into a swamp.
What a strange family. I bet they all just fall apart. George will attempt to take his own life again. The brother is going to cut all family ties... Casey will become a porn queen. The mother will drift off into la la land. Very SAD for the little child.
I see what you are saying, and it makes sense to the first degree charge. Although the chloroform searches and the neck breaking searches look really bad.
But it’s the aggravated child abuse charge I don’t get. 31 freakin’ days. Baby thrown away as trash. I don’t understand that verdict. That one stunned me.
Exactly, the dual nature of the questions make reasonable doubt more likely:
1. If you think there is a 90% chance the child was murdered rather than died accidently and a 90% chance the mother did it, you have a 81% chance the child was murdered and the mother did it.
2. If you think there is a 80% chance the child was murdered rather than died accidently and a 80% chance the mother did it, you have a 64% chance the child was murdered and the mother did it.
3. If you think there is a 70% chance the child was murdered rather than died accidently and a 70% chance the mother did it, you have a 49% chance the child was murdered and the mother did it.
So where is reasonable doubt? Less than 95% or less than 70% or less than 50%?
So I guess I would say, I think there is about a 70% chance the child was murdered and about an 90% chance if so the mother did it, so I am at about 63%, but 37% doubt seems to me pretty reasonable when talking about the kinds of penalties involved here.
Correct. The jury bases its decision based on the case presented in court.
The Knox case wasn’t nearly as high profile. ....which as I mentioned is the main criteria. It was also in Italy, not the U.S.
Ireally doubt that since she has already been in jail for 3 years.I’m afraid that when her parents walked out of the coutroom they realized that she will be coming home to be their nightmare again....
Thats what this is: legalized infanticide.Yup.
And Sarah, I unintentionally plagarized you. I reposted your line about this jury making the OJ jury look intelligent.
