Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
“How much time can she get for the charges she was convicted of? Does anyone know?
I bet she walks with credit for time served. “
I though she was serving time for an unrelated offense. Stolen checks? or Hot checks?
Does someone know?
Scott tried to flee the country with 10K. He was toast.
You are certainly correct that his flee attempt destroyed him, but I've always thought that general line of reasoning is absurd.
There are many cases where an innocent man comes to the conclusion that he has no realistic chance to fight the charges.
I posted something the other day on how sociopaths are so similar in how they act and was made fun of. They lie even when it makes no sense and while most of us know they will get caught in the lie, they don’t stop - it is astounding
The generally accepted definitions- at least as they taught in law school:
preponderence of the evidence: 51%
beyond a reasonable doubt: 95-99%
not really....but since you leveled the accusation, how about explaining why i’m a hysterical hand-wringer?
Are you one of the defense lawyers? You sure have been mouthing like one for days.
Rush is a moron sometimes. Did he explain how so many people have been convicted where NO body was ever found? Hint; Rush likes the hot little babes...even the ones who fleece him. He is neither an expert in these matters or an unbiased source.
"... I am merely stating that this is a case that is going to move people like very few other cases will."
Think so? Then I weep for my nation if you're right: We'll blissfully ignore bankers getting paid back all the money that they lost and pay not one minute of attention to our $14,000,000,000,000 debt ceiling being broken --- No torches and pitchforks there, but they'll be up in arms about this 3 year old little dead girl who was in all probability killed by her own mother that was just acquitted or murder?
I really doubt that, but if you're right it's time to cut the guy-wire and let the American flag fly free of the flagpole straight into the mud.
The murder of a little girl singularly outweighs every other outrage combined that we've seen over the last several years which actually DO directly affect most American's lives, unlike Caylee Anthony?
No way can you be right about this. You can't be. You'd goddamned better NOT be.
I say it will be a threesome on Geraldo’s yacht.
She wasn’t with the babysitter. She was with her mother. All of the evidence also supports a kidnapping. All of those things would have been present. No DNA was found in the trunk. If a body was stored there for any length of time, there would be something.
Go this route. Let’s say your child disappeared. The FIRST suspect will be you. How do you prove that you didn’t do it?
I wonder if they'll charge Cindy with perjury. Cindy did that under the watchful eye of millions of people.
These people should have never been seated!
I’ll say it again: THE JERRY SPRINGER JURY!
“Oh no I would wrap duct tape around my dying child and wrap that dying child into trash bags and put them in the trunk of my car until I could figure out what to do next when the smell got to the point I had to abandon my car next to a dumpster. Then I would go with my latest main squeeze to Blockbuster rent a movie and spend the next 24 hours having ‘high’ sex with my latest main squeeze. Beyond ridiculous and as close to demonic as can possibly be demonstrated by our hip and hopping culture.”
I agree the way she handled her daughter’s death was disgusting. And I also believe she likely did kill her. But does her acting so morally irresponsible prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she killed her daughter instead of suffer a psychotic breakdown or try to hide her daughter’s body for whatever reason? Nope. She was undoubtedly a terrible mother and likely did kill her daughter. Can you prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she did indeed kill her, however? Nope.

So you are happy to have Obama as your President, you know since he won the election? You support him fully?
Wouldn’t that be ironic if Cindy goes to prison for perjury while her daughter walks free.
Read what I wrote again - if you left your child with a babysitter and then all of those things happened, would you think the jury was right to let her go?
Courts and the jury system are only as good as the jurors.
If the jurors are just folks liking getting out of work or placed there by liberals in charge, then the system has been breached.
I am in awe how many people here are willing to just accept that this system is not broken but all the others are.
I don’t believe anywhere in this whole ugly situation there was any Constitutional concern for Caylee Anthony. None.
LOL
I'm sure you guys have been all over this for several hours now and I have nothing new to add but,..................wow!
