Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
Disagree. They didnt have anything to work with.
Then the prosecution should have waited to charge her until better evidence was available. Is there a statute of limitations on murder in Florida?
It is very likely that someone in the district attorney's office saw this case as a chance to make a name for themselves so they rushed it through.
Buy a gun, Marie.
The 2nd Amendment is your best protection against sociopaths.
Yes, no thanks to feminazis and the entire Marxist left in this once-great country.
I read it is 1 year per count.
If that is true, with time served I would guess she's out on Thursday.
CASEY, NOW THAT YOu'RE A FREE WOMAN, WHAT'RE YOU PLANS?I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD
I agree with you, although I didn’t watch much of the trial.
Common sense went AWOL with that jury - as the prosecution feared.
Child Protective Services take children away from parents for lesser crimes. Certainly, she should have been charged with not reporting a death and abuse of a corpse.
I believe the State should have charged her with everything from A thru Z...just in case. But that’s 20/20 hindsight.
I give up;(
Wonder where she’ll go, maybe Disneyland.
Iregardless of the verdict, I wonder if we will ever find out how she died and who was most directly responsible......
Did what? Are you certain Caylee was "murdered"?
I agree. Jurors either do not listen to instructions, or do not understand instructions or feel they can make up their own instructions in their "minds."
This jury, to me, is a microcosm of the voters who elected Ubama and --- quite frankly --- the continued dumbing down, i.e. lack of COMMON SENSE, does not bode well for 2012.
I swear, I didn’t see this before I posted mine. HA!
While technically it wasn’t the issue, it’s something that has to enter anyone’s mind when determining whether someone is guilty or not. It’s simply the way my mind works. I probably wouldn’t make a good juror, because I’m not exactly sure what reasonable doubt is. Is it 30% doubt? 5% doubt? Everybody has a different definition.
From what the defense attorneys said, I think that there will be some lawsuits against some of the media forthcoming. I think Nancy Grace is probably at the top of that list. Tot-mom and all.
I remember watching a young Korean mother whose son was missing, whom she interviewed, and battered endlessly. Accusing her of doing something to her little boy. I was already getting to a point where I was offended by Ms. Graces theatrics and meanness. That shy, quiet young women went out and shot herself dead after Nancy Grace got through with her. I never watched her again. I dont know anything about her but through her CNN, but that was the end of any respect I had for her.
I dont know what happened to Caylee Anthony. I do think that Casey Anthony knows and that thanks to over-charging, she will not be accountable for any responsibility she might have. At any rate, her life is permanently changed, and not for the better.
Compared to many of you, I know very little about this case. I came here and to another website or two to learn when I started watching the trial last week. I believe the media to be extremely inflammatory (based on their own self interest - money) and do not trust their information in these matters at all. I am thankful that the jury apparently didnt, either and stuck with the evidence presented to them.

If there is one positive thing that could come out of this train wreck it would be for some of the irresponsible media whores like Nancy Grace and Geraldo Rivera to be sued out of existence which may put a damper on these losers making their own personal reality shows out of others misery and making a fast buck by creating a media freak show out of interfering with a serious criminal investigation.
You are correct in your assesment. She has never been held responsible (except for check fraud conviction for stealing Amy’s checks). This psychopth has now been given the go ahead to do ANYTHING she pleases. Watch out FLORIDA.
George and Cindy are probably scared right now. Can you hear her calling them and laying down the Rules that she wants in place when she gets out.
If I knew her name I would have used it.
Jeff, guys like Scooter Libby have very busy lives. There are lies of commission, and lies of omission.
I believe there is an equal chance of him lying on purpose, or simply not remembering some of the details.
With Libby it’s toss the book at him, and in a capital murder case with all the incongruencies I mentioned, people just dismiss it all for no reason at all. It defies logic.
When the DA giggled, Casey wriggled.
She'll go partying. She doesn't have to worry about a babysitter, and she'll be able to pick up guys like all the other childless girls.
You’re right. One of the posters sent me a link to a NYT article that stated the dead-opposite of the actual evidence as proof that there was nothing at all found in the car. Yet this poster thinks that they’ve got it all figured out.
I am a serious late-comer to this story. But I did my homework before I made a decision.
Are there any FReepers who’ve *actually* delved deep into this who really believe that there’s reasonable doubt?
Bada-Bing!
