Candidates T-Shirt Sales Predicted Last 3 Presidents-Palin Garnering 66% Of Sales!
M.JOSEPH SHEPPARD’S "A POINT OF VIEW"

Posted on 07/04/2011 3:15:48 PM PDT by RED SOUTH

If T-shirt and presidential product sales predict the future in American politics, 2012 will be a Palin vs. Obama race. CafePress writes:

The people have spoken and they want to see a Sarah Palin vs. Barack Obama showdown in the 2012 election. Although Palin’s Republican peers Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, and now Jon Huntsman have officially declared their candidacy, the American public is throwing their support behind “Mama Grizzly” for the 2012 Election – on T-shirts that is.

It may be 503 days away, but politically-minded citizens have already designed over 500,000 presidential election products on CafePress, the go-to site for customizable merchandise (think “royal wedding crasher” and “Weinergate” tees).

o Sarah Palin has yet to declare her candidacy, but Palin-themed merchandise already makes up a whopping 66 percent of Obama challenger sales and 34 percent of all 2012 election product sales.

o Mitt Romney made it official several weeks ago but his product sales make up a small percentage of Obama’s challengers at 3 percent of election product sales. o Michele Bachmann is also in Palin’s shadow, with products contributing to only 1 percent of election product sales.

Since CafePress has seen its T-shirt sales predict the winner of the previous three presidential elections, it’s clear that these Republican contenders have their work cut out for them. Plus, one to watch: will Robert Burck, a.k.a. the ‘Naked Cowboy’, be able to bring his Time Square following with him all the way to the 2012 Inauguration?

Making political T-shirt sales a measure of Sarah Palin's popularity may be a bit of a stretch but even so, it does indicate that she will be a formidable challenger to Barack Obama and has strong support, despite all the pundits and leftists chanting in unison that "Palin can't win". Americans are an independent lot and we may just decide to do exactly what the political columnists, TV 'talking heads' and bloggers tell us we can't do - nominate and elect Sarah Palin the 45th President of the United States of America. I certainly hope so.

My t-shirt reads...

If 66% of us wore this one, maybe we
REALLY WOULD GET
a Conservative President.

How long does Sarah Palin still have to make a bid to be on the GOP ticket?

Sarah Palin is reportedly looking for a sign from God to jump in (I don’t mean that to be demeaning, not at all, it is a salute to the sincerity of her faith). This might be it? Someone should alert her.

Not bad...since she is NOT a candidate!............................... YES, BUT IT SHOWS HOW MUCH SHE IS LOVED. I predicted a tsunami of support once she decides to run. As an Independent I’m just looking forward to her running, even if it means registering as a Republican to get her on the ballot. Palin has more guts than any other candidate that is running. She’s a fighter, something that is missing amongst our so called Political Leadership.

Making political T-shirt sales a measure of Sarah Palin's popularity may be a bit of a stretch but even so, it does indicate that she will be a formidable challenger to Barack Obama and has strong support

Well, no, that just means that she is a celebrity with a loyal fan base that buys her products.

This gal has a lot of sales too but America has no intention of electing her President.

Lady Gaga Merchandise. Com

Remember this guy? He sold a lot of records, T-Shirts, coffe mugs, etc. Such sales only correlate with the pop culture status of entertainers.

If you want to understand the reality of Sarah Palin's popularity as a viable Presidential candidate, and not merely as a celebrity, you need to look at the serious data and look at the World outside the tightly closed confines of the Sarah Palin Fan Club.

Sarah Palin's Unfavorable ratings are over the 50% mark. (see below.)

The most recent Fox News Poll just came out:

FOX News Polll .... For Release 6PM ET Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Among REPUBLICAN primary voters, the preferences are as follows:

Mitt Romney ..... 18%
Rick Perry ..... 13%
Michele Bachmann ..... 11%
Rudy Giuliani ..... 10%
Sarah Palin ..... 8%
Ron Paul ..... 7%
Herman Cain ..... 5%
Tim Pawlenty ..... 3%

Sarah Palin is in single digit territory. .... One percentage point above Ron Paul.

In a February FOX News poll, 72% of all voters stated they they did NOT think that she would be a good President. (see below.)

In a recent Gallup poll, 65% of all voters stated that they would "definitely NOT" vote for her. (see below.)

In last week's book signing event at the Mall of America (America's largest mall), the number of people at her event were less than half of Hillary's appearance at MOA and were five times less than those of a wrestler named "the Rock" at his appearance at MOA.

But there were no overwhelming crowds; all those who came got through the line during the two-hour event. The Palins signed about 700 books, but mall officials estimated that 1,500 people attended the event -- some merely strolling by and stopping to gaze over the rotunda railing. When it comes to book signings, Mall of America officials say, former wrestler and movie star the Rock chalked up the largest crowd at the mall with 8,000 people in January 2000. Hillary Rodham Clinton's book signing in August 2003 drew 4,000 fans

Sarah Palin has a rabidly loyal following among 8% of all Republicans.

Outside of that Fan Club, Sarah Palin's nationwide popularity mirrows the nationwide popularity of Nancy Pelosi.

It is imperative that Barack Hussein Obama be defeated by a conservative GOP candidate in 2012.

Nomination a GOP candidate with Sarah Palin's polling data is political suicide that would hand Barack Hussein Obama an easy reelection victory on a silver platter.

Look at the polling data. ... even from Sarah Palin's employer, FOX News.

That data is not the "media" or "bloggers" or "political columnists" or "TV talking heads" telling you somthing. That data is the American voters telling you something.

It seems, however, that is it somthing that the Sarah Palin Fan Club absolutely refuses to hear.

==============================

FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)

Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.

Sarah Palin:

.................YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of

ALL...........23%.......72%.........4%.......1%

Dem ...........7%........87%........5%.......1%

Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%

Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%

Sarah Palin is reportedly looking for a sign from God to jump in. This might be it? Someone should alert her.

I'm sure that Sarah is already well aware of how popular she really is with the American public, and you can bet that someone's sent this article to her by now.

If she's really looking for a sign from God to make up her mind, it's probably not this.

My guess, though, is that she's already made up her mind to run. She would not have strung the American people along for this long, knowing how crestfallen millions would be if she announced that she's not going to seek the nomination. No, Sarah's too smart for that, and would have told us some time back, not to wait for her.

She's working on her own strategic timetable, and not letting detractors or supporters force her hand. The lady has the sharpest political instincts that most of us have ever seen. I trust that she knows what she's doing, and that her announcement will come at a time that is most advantageous to her campaign.

I’m sure there are other barometers of grassroots sentiment at the polls, but this is a very interesting one because it’s so personal. You don’t usually bother buying, washing, drying, and wearing something carrying a message that means little to you.
