Glenn Beck: I Hate Republicans, Too
Newsmax ^ | June 29, 2011 | Newsmax

Glenn Beck is making it clear that he’s no partisan — he hates Republicans as much as he does Democrats, if not more.

In a tease for his new Web TV venture, GBTV, Beck said he dislikes members of the GOP immensely, according to Politico.

“I hate them. I think they are as much of a problem as the other side," Beck says in a new interview released just before his last show on Fox News.

In one video preview, Beck asks himself and Raj Nair, GBTV’s head correspondent, about what the average person thinks of his political leanings, and Nair agrees that the perception is that he is a Republican.

Not so, says Beck.

“I hate them. I think they are as much of a problem as the other side,” Beck says, walking alongside Nair on the streets of New York. He then invokes George Washington, saying Washington warned of the danger in political parties.

“If you speak out in today’s world, you’re either a Republican or Democrat. How about just being real?” he later says.

I completely disagree with your thoughts on a person with drive not having the odds with them to be successful; that he was alienating/losing viewership; that he was "kooky;" that his like-minded fans are few; and....that you don't have a lot of free time.

Thanks for stopping by!

I agree with you. I’ve watched his shows and bought his books, but now I find out that he hates me. I know people will say that it isn’t me that he hates, but like Rush, I live in literalville. He said he hates Republicans, so I have to assume that he hates me since I’m a member of the Republican party.

Romans makes it quite clear that we need a government in this world and what it’s responsibilities are. No government would lead to complete anarchy and no security.

It may say that, but government has proven itself to be utterly evil, and I reject it.

Why should Chuck U. Shumer have any power over me or anyone else?

He shouldn’t, and neither should any else of that nature.

BINGO!

He said it and he can now wear it. Beck hates us and hate is not a Christian attribute.

Funny combination, begging your audience for money while simultaneously declaring that you hate them.

What I don’t get is that he makes such an emphasis on not hating our political enemies and then he says he hates Republicans. Does he not realize that Republicans make up a significant portion of his audience? The notion that both parties are equally to blame, from a conservative perspective, borders on idiocy. The worst Republicans, such as the Maine bimbos, are still right at least 30% of the time. As incredibly annoying as Goober Graham is, he still gets it right probably 60% of the time. Evil bastards like Schumer and Durbin are right maybe 5% of the time. Saying Scott Brown and Pat Leahy are equally to blame is at best intellectual laziness and at worst intellectual dishonesty. His own show should be all the proof he needs that both parties aren’t equally to blame. Whenever he has politicians on his show that he says he respects, it’s almost always a Republican, with the exception of Joe Lieberman.

I don’t disagree with you about the evils of government, but how do things like murder, rape, and theft get punished?

intellectual laziness and at worst intellectual dishonesty.

That's why I called him a self-aggrandizing liar and compared him to Bill "no spin zone" O'Reily and Lou "flaming moderate" Dobbs. Same tactic, same MO.

Chris Wallace did the same thing the other day when he asked Michelle Bachmann if she was "a flake"...trying to prove something to Stewie Liebowitz (at her expense)

Well, you know, I’m not going to call myself a christian, but I am a believer in God. Glenn is a mormon, incidentally.

I hate Evil.

No, I’m not calling theGOp evil, I’m just saying that I hate something, and I’m not sorry about it.

Wait a minute, I just saw the first page of your posts and you refer to Jesus Christ as your lord, yet you’re not a Christian?

I was reading this thread and I get the impression that your comment about Beck’s fans is very accurate.

At least one made my point, LOL.

Hey Ted, good to see you around. I was at Mylady's the other day, and the place isn't the same since our get together. You guys were wild, not me mind you. :-)

I don’t practice any given religion for certain reasons, even though I was raised catholic as a child, so I can’t say that I’m a Christian. I do, however, believe strongly in God.

I understand, but the very definition of being a Christian is having Jesus as your lord. Why make it a point to not call yourself a Christian if you believe in their creeds?

Beck has gone over the edge as he became too aware too fast. He can’t handle it. It is better to become aware over a period of many years. When your illusion of what is really going on becomes shattered too quickly it is very disturbing emotionally.
