Not really reassuring news, considering his statements regarding our First Amendment and the Koran.

So...Patreus is CIA director and Panetta (ex CIA director) is SecDef?

Does Obama just put names in a hat and cross cabinet positions off on a list?

If Petraeus has a free hand, this might be a big shot in the arm to the CIA. When general officers move into civilian jobs, they tend to organize things on the efficient military staff model.

Eisenhower did so in the White House, and his administration was a quiet, well oiled machine. It only experienced problems when Ike developed severe medical problems, a heart attack and minor stroke, along with chronic Crohn’s disease.

Most who try to reform the CIA fail, because that is the wrong direction to take. Instead, it would be a better bet to reorganize them for greater efficiency, which brings about voluntary reform in its wake.

Petraeus’ most difficult problem is that the CIA is no longer “the” intelligence agency, because there are now 16 agencies, often with both cross purposes and overlapping purposes.

The same Senate that recognized through legislation as “General Betray-us”.

Remember when Mao told the janitors they were now teachers and told the teachers they were now doctors and the doctors were now janitors.

That’s Obama. Consolidate power by making icompetent official heads everywhere so the shadow leaders have all the true power.

Even after the GOP resumes the presidency and Senate, they will find it impossible to ferret out all the communists from the various government institutions without a new era of McCarthy-like investigations, which are impossible to perform in the current PC climate.

Were screwed.

He is now an Obama whore.

I have ZERO respect for the guy.

He cares more about his salary and his career than he does about the nation. He could have taken the CIA gig as a 4-star active duty General, but he found out he could double dip and make more money if he retired, collected his 4-star pay, and got the SES promotion to CIA. Other active duty Generals took the position as full flag officers to avoid the double dip.......not this guy.

His "Counter Insurgency" (COIN) strategy was a terrible failure. He thinks Muslims will love us if we fist bump their kids enough.

Never mind the whole "Islam is evil" thingy. Hey! Let's all be pluralistic! Who is say what is "evil?" Huh? Can't we all just get along?

Begone you 4-star Obama whore.

Obama put him in the Cabinet because he doesn’t want Petraeus running for President.

People seem to think Petraeus is a great general. As someone with a military background...I don’t like him. He isn’t a soldier, he is a politician. He didn’t make thinga right in Iraq, he just bribed better than the Bathests. Personnally, I’m glad he is essentially out of the Army. He was for a “kinder gentler army.” I believe in “total war.” He is one of those “negotiate” types. Also, any general that can florish under the Obama administration is probably a closet liberal. I like intelligent thinking leaders...but this guy is too cerebal.
