He's made his name with a controversial show that catches would-be internet sex perverts in televised stings.
But now Chris Hansen has found himself on the receiving end of his own hidden camera tactics, after the married NBC anchor was secretly filmed on an illicit date with a blonde television reporter 20 years his junior.
Hansen, 51, has allegedly been having an affair with Kristyn Caddell, a 30-year-old Florida journalist, for the last four months.
Last weekend he was recorded taking Miss Caddell on a romantic dinner at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton hotel in Manalapan, before spending the night at her Palm Beach apartment.
Hansen, who has two young sons, was caught in an undercover sting operation arranged by the National Enquirer.

Kristyn Caddell is a reporter for WPTV News Channel 5 at Noon, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. For Kristyn, running is all about the adrenaline rush, the health benefits and a good challenge. Kristyn has run the Miami Half-Marathon and the Gasparilla Half-Marathon and soon hopes to run a full marathon. 
No it isn’t, but men and women are doing themselves no favours when they don’t treat their spouses well.

I also recall reading that whenever he travelled, he always had an aide enter the hotel room first. In case the paparazzi had a girl planted to “surprise” him.

Some men blame the wife for anything a man does, even in the absence of a single fact. There was someone here holding Anthony Weiner’s wife responsible, even though he was a crypto-homo flasher for years before they met.
There are a lot of legal questions about sending things to a 13 year-old that doesn’t exist; there is no victim. I’m all for the worst punishments possible for the freaks on that show, but the legal questions need to be addressed, including: why arrest them when some have prior convictions for this stuff (with real minors)? WTH is that person on the street for?
I just like anyone from NBC taking a karma hit myself.
For what its worth I think what he does to expose pedophiles is a good thing, and I have sympathy for his poor wife here.
Knowing NBC and the arrogance they have of condemning conservatives who are guilty of this it will be fun to see how they handle it, if they do at all.
