My daughter and I were in Manhattan over this weekend so I could do some research at the Met. Waves of people were coming into the city for Sundays big gay-pride march, where they could celebrate the Empire States new same-sex-marriage law. We sat behind some of them on the train, three young women with a precious, excited toddler girl in tow. The very evident leader of the clan was the patriarch. Adorned as if she might be an actor portraying a hip-hop teen from Cleveland, she had her meticulous corn-rows tucked under a backwards navy-blue flat-billed ballcap, a matching wife beater revealing a mural of tats on her arms, shoulders, and back. Baggy jeans rode low, leading to her construction boots with untied laces dangling free.
She was the only one of the adult threesome that interacted with the child, mindlessly uttering reassuring words like Daddy will be right back or Sit over here by Daddy.
You see, this is one of the things that most concerns me about the legal institutionalization of genderless marriage and parenting. We are told that nothing will really change with such laws; people who really love each other will just be able to enter really meaningful, legally protected relationships.
But, to use the language of our womens-studies scholars, such a turn does violence to our concept of sex difference. They would have us believe that their way of looking at the world transcends the narrow confines of socially constructed gender difference, but these very folks end up playing to those very confines, usually in comically stereotypical ways. Think drag queen in her everyday clothes, like our Urban Outfitters dad on the train.
And while this adorable little girl on the train got to call one of her parents Daddy, did she really have a daddy? Well, her DNA would prove that she does somewhere, but in reality she only has a woman playing make-believe daddy, and like make-believe games, its all about the world this woman has created in her mind for her own imaginary fun and games. One problem: Theres a little toddler as one of the props.
Gender does matter for marriage, the family, and society, and those trying to teach us that it doesnt cant help but default to the very thing they are trying to overthrow.
This is the primary fallacy of the legislation New York just passed not in theory, but in the reality of this little girl and her daddy on the train at Penn Station.
State law question, but I’m unaware of any state that permits marriage within the third degree of consanguinity (first cousins).
I have encountered hundreds of queer men and women while working in emergency medicine. The vast majority are on medicaid and social security disability for for such terribly disabling conditions as “bi-polar disorder” of “fibromyalgia” for which there are no definitive tests, just some quack’s “opinion” will do.
The libs are defining deviancy as normal because they have no concept of right or wrong.
Gimme a break - if being homosexual floats your boat, fine - knock yourself out. But spare me the 'pride', please.

Something like 20 states allow first-cousin marriage. (A few have restrictions.)
The flip side of the moms trying to relive their glory days by turning their pre-teens into beauty queen sluts (JonBenet Ramsey et. al.). They are, respectively, promoting far advanced sexuality in a young child, and denying the natural development of a sexual identity. It's abuse, for sure.
And we see it all going by, the Freak Parade whose marchers grow progressively more misshapen and bizarre with each passing year, and just shake our heads and doubt there's anything we can do about it.
Imagine it is 1967 and you pick up a magazine and open it and read the very same story (as appears in NRO). What would have been your reaction? Disbelief? Disgust? Horror? Would you flip the magazine over to see if you had accidentally happened upon some seedy, underground counter-culture rag? Would you have felt a sudden impulse to wash your hands?
Whatever your visceral reaction, you likely would have felt as though you were reading about somewhere other than America, or perhaps about some hellish, future dystopic version of it. They always said Satan would lower our standards bit by bit, so gradually that we would not see it coming. Welcome to Hell.
“So, what is to stop two siblings of the same sex from being married in NY?”
Nothing. All those that supported two men or women cant legally justify any other “pairing” of whatever not being able to do the same thing.
Polygamist? Bigamist? People marrying a child, dog, or their shadow?
What are they going to say, that those are weird or gross?
I disagree that they don’t know right and wrong.
But I assert that they seek to DESTROY the natural concepts of right and wrong and replace them with their own definitions.
I know guy who’s quite the lefty. He has a son, and the mother of that son divorced him and went lesbian. The month raised the son for much of the time until fairly recently when custody was given to the father. He’s married with a second wife.
Everyone in that household is a die-hard leftist.
They also clearly know it, without ever admitting it, that the lesbians raising the son was very bad for him. In fact that son can’t stand his real mother at all these days.
I’m also willing to bet every deluded member of that household would be in favor of gay marriage and adoption.
Funny how ideology can drive out even the evidence in front of your face.
“Five minutes to showtime, Ms. Maddow.”
Madcow is a social disease.
“They would have us believe that their way of looking at the world transcends the narrow confines of socially constructed gender difference, but these very folks end up playing to those very confines, usually in comically stereotypical ways.”
If they don’t want to be laughed at, they shouldn’t act like clowns.
“Lesbianism and gay marriage are just an excuse for people to be fat and unattractive.
Two ugly heifers approve of their appearance and could not care less what others think.
We are doomed as a society with this garbage.”
Firstly, “sows” is more descriptive than “heifers”.
Secondly, only the garbage is doomed.
Thirdly, the spawn of the garbage is likely doomed.
Lastly, reality is about descend on such sows when their freebie culture ends and they have to live the reality of “Root hog, or die.”
The sickness spreads.
I’ve wondered if lesbians use a dildo or a vibrator. If so, then why go for a ‘strap on sally’ when you can have a ‘natural’ man?
/Not really wondered that much
//just one of those passing through thoughts

That incest thing worked sooooo well for the Moslims that we now know that Ahab the Arab doesn’t have an inferiority complex - Ahab IS inferior.
Turns out there was a reason,
family’s out of season ....
My apologies to Tom Lehrer
The heavy emphasis on pride is a DEVICE:
I think gay men become more and more impressed with the transiency of their relationships. This fills them with a gnawing awareness that that might not be ultimately healthy, good, or what they’re actually looking for.
This causes growing awareness generates uneasiness, leading to a counter-reaction, thus the emphasis on not just DOING those gay things, but doing then, and then also later being really PROUD OF IT, thereby diminishing the unease.
So it’s a coping mechanism to stay gay and doing gay things.
Note photo 21 of uniformed Seattle Police officers holding hands with their fellow sexual deviants (lead by the moral degenerate mayor of Seattle). Of course children had to be indoctrined; if mommy and mommy didn’t bring them to celebrate perversity, they were bussed in.
