"Jean Weber of Destin filed a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security after her 95-year-old mother was detained and extensively searched last Saturday while trying to board a plane to fly to Michigan to be with family members during the final stages of her battle with leukemia.
Her mother, who was in a wheelchair, was asked to remove an adult diaper in order to complete a pat-down search."

I guarantee this 95 year old woman is with al Qaeda. She’s a citizen of the US, right? Then she’s al Qaeda.
Obama: “We can not continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”
Well, I hadn’t seen it. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for posting this. I would have completely missed the other post.
This is outrageous! Some of those TSA people need to be ARRESTED!!!!
“Koshetz said the procedures are the same for everyone to ensure national security.”

Uh....no they aren’t.
Aren’t there provisions in the Constitution against unreasonable search and seizeure? Surely, this kind of search qualifies as an unreasonable search. If I were Ms. Weber, I’d make a real federal case out of this mess.
Perhaps it was Mark Steyn’s “Mullah Old Ma.”
I can’t believe there isn’t more outrage about this sort of thing. Why do so many people feel perfectly comfortable being felt up by random airport employees? Is it because they believe the nonsense about it being “highly qualified professionals” performing the searches? Please, they’re no more qualified than a Walmart greeter is.

Right On! Thanks again whitie for not standing up for your race/religion.(sarc)
Just swell. I fly out tomorrow for Ohio. I’m in my 60’s. Should be fun /s. I am going to post on my facebook page stuff about my trip. Might be interesting.
The TSA is Bush's baby.
One wonders whether they will ask menstruating women to remove their sanitary pads?
What next?
Our Government is humiliating us.
And Americans do nothing.
She said security personnel then came out and told her they would need for her mother to remove her Depends diaper because it was soiled and was impeding their search.
America is in a sad, sad state.
We had a similar experience at Baltimore-Washington airport. Two white haired natural born US citizens being put the the grinder as we watched a burqa-clad person (presumably female) just walk on by and boarded the plane. This is going on at airports all over the USA because God Forbid they should profile.
“The muslims have won.”
Indeed they have. I can only imagine how much this 95 year- old woman has seen during her time on earth. To be treated like this in her final days is beyond the pale.
TSA bureaucrats: HAVE YOU NO SHAME?
Well said and how does any of it make any sense when our borders are wide open? It’s almost like they’re deliberately antagonizing us.
I have never understood what right the federal government has in interfering with any domestic flight period.
If they can strip search you before you get on a plane, they can do the same with federal agents at the local mall, this is insanity

She needs to file suit against these perverts. These outrageous abuses cannot be allowed to continue. There is no legitimate security basis for assaulting innocent passengers.

I urge anyone who is victimized by TSA to complain loudly and often. That is the only way that his will be abated.
