Our friends went back home this morning. The fire burned a hundred acres or so of grassland across the highway from them. Their dog Bear took one step out the back door and decided he didn't like being home. I know, that's a special circumstance...

Nana bought Jackie Evancho's new CD today, and is burning it to her laptop. Wow, that young lady has pipes!

I am so happy that your friends still had a house to go home, too, but I understand how Bear feels.

Whenever I pass the area between here and Midland that burned, it is very depressing. Everything scorched on one side of the highway, and mesquite trees green on the other. Quite a contrast. :(
