Will Giorgio Armani still make Charlene Wittstock's bridal gown when she marries Prince Albert of Monaco after she rejected his outfits for Prince William's wedding?
While Kate Middletons wedding was a great success for Sarah Burton, who designed her dress, it will have been the cause of some concern for Giorgio Armani.
Charlene Wittstock the fiancée of Prince Albert of Monaco, chose to wear an outfit by Akris, the Swiss label at the royal wedding, even though she is known as an ambassador for Armani.
The Italian said he would make the bridal gown for Wittstock, who will marry in July, but who knows?

Who's on the Monaco royal wedding guest list?
A slew of high-profile names are expected to fill up the guest list for Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock's royal wedding next month. The couple has extended invitations to 21 heads of state and at least a dozen foreign royal family members.
Among those on the list: French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his pregnant wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Britain's Prince Edward and wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex; Crown Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain; Sweden's King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, along with their daughter, Crown Princess Victoria, and her husband Prince Daniel. Actors Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are all close enough to Monaco's sovereign to have received an invite.
Moore and Kutcher were reportedly spotted at Wittstock's New York bridal shower in May. And Gibson is said to have developed a friendship with Prince Albert through their joint conservation campaigns. He was even seen mingling with the prince at the Cannes Film Festival last month.
Other high-profile names reportedly on the list include head Chanel designer Karl Largerfield, who often dresses Albert's sister Princess Caroline and her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi, supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Naomi Campbell, and British actor Sir Roger Moore.

Readers & wedding lovers around the world are wondering about her wedding dress. Avant-Garde? Or traditional, romantic, like Albert's mother, the magnificent Grace Patricia Kelly of Philadelphia?
Which look would you like Charlene to choose?
Charlene Wittstock, the fiancée of Prince Albert of Monaco
looking elegantly understated at Kate's wedding, in a
figure-hugging grey coat by Akris and a wide-brimmed, white hat.
Thanks, Liz I agree, it was a beautiful, very appropriate look. No wacky-hat, and dress that would upstage the bride.
Charlene is a very different fashion type from Kate, much more glitz and glam, but hey, it’s Monte Carlo, not England.
IMO Kate is the true natural beauty. Charlene too contrived, trying too hard to look like Grace Kelly. A little too much plastic surgery???
Beautiful outfits! And she carries them off perfectly.
OMG!!
#1. Albert is a dead ringer for George Costanza and
#2. (?)Armani looks like a frog that got caught in my window screen and roasted to death.
Lovely look...
thanks for posting
Except the dress with the WWF panda on it.
What’s that?
I probably shouldn't admit this but,.....I didn't know who that was and I thought it was Andy Williams, who had spent too much time on the ski slopes with no sunscreen! LOLOL!
I wish hats were in fashion here. I think it would be fun to go back to wearing them!
Seriously, there are some beautiful clothes shown here and they fit...she knows how to wear them. I like the Panda dress...how cute!
LOL!!
I can’t believe Prince Albert is finally getting married. He needs an heir.
#2. (?)Armani looks like a frog that got caught in my window screen and roasted to death.
I was thinking more along the lines of Country Wide mortgage slime Leo Mozillo.
Thanks for the Monaco wedding ping!
please add me to the fashion list & the French culture list (are there two or one lists.. ? doesn’t matter.. please add me?)
Do you know just last night I revisited the Royal Wedding thread as I missed you gals and our discussions...thanks for the ping and thread on the Monaco Festivities. Armani would have been way more elegant but she will look lovely in Akris known for its simple lines which work for her swimmer body.
The overwrought, overdone purple and ivory monstrosity above is a case in point.
