Let me tell you an inside secret. They are the worst of the worst. They spend 1/3 of the time investigating their own then burying the results.
They spend YEARS working on cases that wouldn’t rate an hour’s time in most professional organizations.
They are ALL in lock step and the strong arm of the Dept. Of Justice.

All they have is a persona. All fluff, no substance.
They have the biggest budget and waste billions of dollars.

They are the agency that needs to be removed.

BWT - ever see one of them be a whistle blower on anything major? You won’t either. There is a reason for it.

They have had tons of things blow up in their faces, but no one comes forward until after they are caught.

On the other hand, one of the ATF agents who was a whistle blower just lost his job today despite assurances from the Congress and senate. he will not be back I can guarantee it.

"If guys like this ever get the kind of government they seek to implement, he would have already been taken out and shot for having gotten caught.

Certainly worked for the KGB.

Interesting.

So is Ron Paul right about it being a good thing for Americans to get rid of all of these alphabet agencies? Admittedly I have always been suspicious of the ATF (had a friend who was in their ranks) but never thought the FBI had corruption problems from within their own ranks.

Nice. Sometimes I think that Drudge trolls this site and others (like mine) to see what people are reading. :)

I don’t think throwing the baby out with the bathwater is a good idea is all. They need to be run differently.

Our laws are the problem, not the agents.
The management is the problem not the agencies.

Schultz: I have good news and bad news.
Hogan: Give him the good news first, Schultz.
Schultz: They ordered you to be shot first thing in the morning.
Klink: That's good news?! What's the bad news?!
Schultz: They're not giving you a blindfold.
Hogan: It's hard to believe, even for the Gestapo.
Schultz: They're asking for volunteers for the firing squad.
Klink: Ha! They'll never get any volunteers from my men!
Schultz: I beg to report Herr Kommandant, they did.
Klink: How many volunteered?
Schultz: Seventy-six.
Hogan: How many men do you have?
Schultz: Eighty-two.
Klink: At least six of my men are loyal.
Schultz: No Herr Komandant. Two are in the hospital and four are on furlough.
Hogan: Well that makes it unanimous.
Klink: Wait a minute! Wait a minute! We only have EIGHTY men!
Schultz: Not counting the two deserters. But they came back this morning when they heard you were going to be shot.

Unbelievable! He resists resigning and says outright he won't be the fall guy...but THIS takes the cake.

Melson has an open invitation to appear on Capitol Hill. So far, he has not been given Justice Department approval to appear before Congress.

As we read this Issa and a bipartisan group from the oversight committee are in Mexico getting evidence. This should be in a news headline. More public awareness may make the trip a lot safer.

Drudge has stayed away from F&FGate for the most part. I am glad he headlined this finally. This way when an impeachment goes down or we are in a police state non political junkie people know why.

Kenneth Melson. Another Obama appointment.
Wonder what his perversion is.

I've always said that Leftist politicians are not our true enemy. The true enemy is a snake with two heads: the media, and education.

The only part jocon307 got wrong is that it's not just teachers unions, it applies even more in higher education than in public K-12 (though that's changing). In fact, that's where this all began -- Journalism Schools. Then it spread in both directions, to engulf the media and other departments in our colleges and universities. It wasn't until both areas were under leftist control that they began to spread downard into highschools and elementary. And, as you say, it couldn't have been managed if they hadn't already had the media in their back pocket.

One of the more worrisome aspects of this control is that the Left also has the Law Schools --- all of them. Take a couple seconds to think about the implications of that.

It's no worse than control of the media or the rest of education, but it's almost bad enough to count as the snake's third head.
