I'd think this would be an unpopular veto in NC.

Maybe everybody should just refuse to show ID for any reason based on what the governor said.

How dumb is Beverly Perdue? So dumb that she makes Senator Kay Hagan look clever!
(Note, this joke works both ways.)
Keep it up, Bev, and watch for another statewide blowout next year.

North Carolina is a Democrat hell hole. The people won’t hold it against the governor. They will always look for the large ‘D’ on the ballot on election day.

t would have required voters to show certain approved forms of photo identification at their polling places, or else cast provisional ballots and then have to prove their eligibility later.
"This bill, as written, will unnecessarily and unfairly disenfranchise many eligible and legitimate voters," Perdue wroteThe bill merely requires ID (which EVERY government office and every police officer requires reflexively), AND it gives a subsequent way to vote for those who have no ID to present, and yet it is somehow STILL unacceptable? Clearly, the Governor wants to help keep illegitimate voters voting, and thus disenfranchising legitimate voters. They should remember that in the next cycle.

A highly principeled action by someone who understands she only holds her position of power due to illegal voters, and a corrupted election process.

Commie piggies like Perdue aren’t going to let the GOP do anything to stop voter fraud. The DNC’s largest voter base is fraudulent voters.

I would bet that the governor’s seat wasn’t on the ballot in 2010.

If it weren’t for cheats, thugs, criminals, leeches and dregs of society, no Democrat would ever be elected.

After next year's election, it will be interesting to read somebody's Michael Barone type analysis on voting pattern changes in states that have passed Voter ID laws.
It will be especially delicious if new ID requirements result in a noticeable drop in Dem support in urban areas known for shenanigans.
You have to really wonder what goes through the heads of people like this governor as they spin these lame attacks on perfectly common sense measures to prevent the fraud that they benefit from. Do they feel like a shower afterward? Probably not, or the wouldn't be Democrats to begin with.
