That would be nice. We’d like to visit more Civil War sites, and then Gettysburg again someday. It’s been years since we visited D.C.

U mean the media..they lied!! No, can’t be..the media always tells the truth/sarc
To: trisham
Palin's doing a good service by stirring up interest in American historical sites.
I'd like to visit Gettysburg as well. I've never been there.

Hmm...where are all the trolls from the other threads about the bus tour ending?

I don’t think the lefties are going to make it through the summer without all of their heads exploding. :-)

The Palins have better things to do right now, like salmon fishing. The quest for the presidency can begin later...after all, Ronald Reagan didn't announce his candidacy until November 13, 1979 so he was able to get some horse riding and fishing in during that summer when all the other soon-to-be has-been candidates were running around Iowa in 90 degree weather in their woolen suits.
Just want everybody to know that I eat meat, I don't believe in global warning, I don't get my news from mainstream media and I support the candidacy of Sarah Palin.

The writer who wrote that report sounded particularly dumb. I questioned how she would know this, or get the facts right, when she’s still sticking to that lamestream lie about Paul Revere.
(And, no doubt, that she can see Russia from her house, although that wasn’t mentioned.)

I love how she just knocks the media around. And I love how they keep hoping she stays out of it because they know if she runs not only does she take on 0bama and shine the light on his corruption that the media tried hiding those stories unfavorable to him, but she also puts the media on trial. THAT is what needs to be done. The media has gotten away with their leftist agenda propaganda for yrs. and I know they don’t want Palin in because they know she’ll make it part of the case in an election. They’ve shown how dangerous it is when a press is not questioned and is part of the problem.

The process was much, much different in 1980. George Bush had already locked up all the Republican governors by the end of 1999 for his 1980 run. Clinton had done the same, only a tad later, in 1992 with Dem governors.
And, FWIW, she in no way denied the rumor---at least in what was posted.

I really don’t how Palin can afford to wait, unless the plan is have as many jump in as possible and then enter and hope to win the primaries by getting pluralities in the primaries.
The real issue though is her popularity at large. She needs to be working on those votes now. Like it or not, it cannot be denied that the three years of attacks have taken their toll. Reagan did not have a similar amount of negative opinion against him when he ran.

The story was published by
Real Clear Politics, written by a guy named Scott Conroy, under the headline
Palin Bus Tour Takes Extended Pit Stop. This was picked up by
Toilet Paper Memo and re-headlined as
Palin Bus Tour Takes Extended Pit Stop.
Notice that the URL of the TPM story includes the word "quitter," presumably so it will be served by search engines when that word is entered.
