I really don’t how Palin can afford to wait, unless the plan is have as many jump in as possible and then enter and hope to win the primaries by getting pluralities in the primaries.
The real issue though is her popularity at large. She needs to be working on those votes now. Like it or not, it cannot be denied that the three years of attacks have taken their toll. Reagan did not have a similar amount of negative opinion against him when he ran.

You have got to have been born since Reagan took office (or that time was in the mists of your youth or now lost in the mists of your senior years). You're right. Reagan didn't have a similar amount of negative opinion. Reagan had decades of negative opinion against him, much of it from mainstream Republicans.

In my opinion Sarah is right on schedule. I don't think anything is gained by joining all the toothless lightweights. She is playing the MSM like a fiddle as they have now tried every trick in the book to destroy her and have failed.
Go Sarah!

You don’t know what you are talking about! Reagan was savaged well before 1980 as the man who would start WWIII if he became President and described by the media as a idiot, amicable dunce, politically lightweight and flabby on political issues and stances. He was hated by the left, the media and the Republican Establishment just like Palin

Nixon had the same amount or more “negatives”, when he ran and won.

All the others jump in early, they get their "15-minutes" and then the in-fighting starts...Palin waits in the wings until just the right moments, and as all the other are immersed in defending their records and raising more money, in come Sarah, all fresh and full of vim and vigor, with a full coffer of funds, enjoying the limelight and media attention as the "new kid".
By this time she has watched and listened to all the other candidates and picked up on their strengths and weaknesses, heard their arguments and defenses, and knows just where to insert the sword for the coup de gras.
Like I said before, I would hate to play poker with that woman...she is shrewd.

She needs to be working on those votes now If and when she announces, she'll have all the instant money bombs and voters she wants. She doesn't have to do anything but what she's doing. Letting America know who she is.

Reagan did not have a similar amount of negative opinion against him when he ran... Oh really?
