Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has canceled a planned trip next month to war-ravaged Sudan, one of the most unstable nations in the world and the focus of passionate advocacy within the U.S. evangelical community.
Palin scrapped her plans to visit the North African country for scheduling reasons, several sources close to Palin said. She was planning to travel with Franklin Graham, the son of evangelical leader Billy Graham, as well as Fox News personality Greta Van Susteren to the July 9 independence ceremony of South Sudan, the sources said.

I heard about the Sudan all the time on Christian radio. I was made aware of just what a demonic situation it is around 6 years ago on the radio. Absolutely horrible, and the targeting, raping and murdering of Christians get little to no play at all in the MSM.
I’m inclined to believe that is a valid reason for cancelling.
It was reported yesterday that muslims attacked Christians along the border in the South and killed many... they may have been warned off?

Dammit...another day; another keyboard...
Oooooo...do I smell brimstone?
I heard couple of rumors in your absence, one was that you had gone over to the other side(I wasn`t quite sure what they meant)
the second.... was you had joined team Bachmann..I did not believe either report btw, glad you are back!
;)
I have absolutely no idea,I could only throw out wild guesses.
As long as she runs, that`s all that matters.
Why n earth would she want to go to the Sudan?
Has there been an authoritative denial by the Palin camp?
Hopefully, it’ll be good news. I’m sure it will be.
Welcome back!
Cheers,
Jim
she has jury duty.
i guess jury duty is more important to gov Palin.
I read on Sarah’s Facebook page that she has jury duty. I do not know when that is scheduled to start. You can’t go to the Sudan when you have jury duty.
It also might be too dangerous....heard on C4P that even Hilliary is having second thoughts due to safety concerns.
From Sarah’s Face Book page: “As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.”
Don’t worry. Sarah will be back in the lower 48 to enjoy some relaxing vacation.
This is Sarah’s note from her Face Book page. I love her humor:
Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the One Nation Tour has been cancelled. Why didnt anyone tell me? Oh, wait, thats because it hasnt been cancelled. (Good ol’ media... you never cease to amaze!)

I wouldnt think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

Agree. She is putting her family first.
