Fresh off her well-received performance in last week's GOP presidential debate, Rep. Michele Bachmann now tops the field of candidates in a new Zogby poll of Republican primary voters.
The poll found Mrs. Bachmann garnering 24 percent of the vote, well-ahead of businessman Herman Cain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who each received 15 percent support.

Don't worry, Palin’s old running mate and “friend” John McCain will step up and campaign for her, like she did for him, since they both see eye-to-eye on several issues. Which should help cancel out the “losing VP” stigma.
I think a link to FREEREPUBLIC and Boston Herald is quite valid. You may want to fully realize: that, by calling someone supporting tea party candidates RINO's it does not favor you nor your Bot Squad. It just looks sadly pathetic. On page ONE of this thread in big black bold letters I noted this poll meant Bye bye Obamaney RomneyCare.Why can't you be happy for Bachmann and still have a groupie Palin love?

Vice President. he served from 1974 to 1977. But failed to win the Presidency after he ran on his own accord.
My fault, I failed to mention the most important part of the stigma stated, that no VP candidate, who has lost a prior election has ever won the Presidency.
Nixon lost his first bid against Kennedy, coming directly from the VP spot, and won later after having been removed from that stigma. So your claim about Nixon is false.

Looking at Abraham Lincoln's prior history, you would have certainly disqualified him as a candidate, based on your “criteria”.

A) Sarah Palin is not in the race.
B) I don’t support several candidates in this race but I do not spend my time going to positive threads about them and tearing them down to their supporters.
C) I do give you credit for being honest enough (with your tagline) to openly declare your support for a candidate before you start flinging your poo at another, that shows character and I respect that that.

I don’t care about Lincoln. This is 2011. We have an incompetent idiot in the White House and we can’t afford another one. We need someone who has a record of actions, not just words. Someone who did, instead of going to. Someone who knows how to cut a budget. Someone who has dealt first hand with big oil and won. Someone who knows the energy industry like the back of her hand. Someone who has and will continue to fight corruption, in both parties. Someone who can put their record up against anyone else’s in the race.
