Evening, Ladies!
HiYa Lauren.
Happy birthday! ;-)
Happy birthday!
Thanks for the trip to Dover tonight. Never been there either but wouldn’t mind visiting there if I could catch a hop to the east coast. But I gotta ask......do they have TSA there?
Howdy, Lauren! Just back from MY road trip OKC.....looong drive!....and trying to relax.
Good to see you and thanks for the great destination to Dover, Delaware!
I was just in front of my computer tonight. Lately I have still been working.

We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
Hi, Kathy. “True Blood” is just a week away.
Good evening everybody! Better late than never.
Howdy FRiend! *big hugs* How was your day?
Lauren, do you think you could get the mods to correct the spelling: it’s Delaware, not Deleware.
Dover also has the Armed Forces Mortuary. This is where the soldiers killed in a ction all come to be prepared for burial and for shipment to their families across the country.
I live about 45 minutes south of Dover, and Route 1 passes right by the base. We see the big transports coming in and leaving all the time.
I always wonder if there is a soldier on board who is coming home for the last time.
The Mortuary staff are consummate professionals. The HBO movie “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon details what happens at Dover.
Also, the Air Force Mobility Museum is a gem, and it is free. In addition to all of the USAF transports on display from the late 1940s onward, inside is a B-17G and a C-47(DC-3). The C-47 is decked out in D-Day markings.
Great place for the kids—young and old.
Thanks for highlighting my corner of the world.
I hope that means rain!:) Have a great evening Lauren. *hugs*
Proud Reservist of the 512th. Darn, I didn’t know FReepers did road trips to bases. I just got back from Dover Friday from doing an annual tour period up there.
Thank you for tonites thread Lauren!
Good evening,all!
