Gov. Perry signs "Baker's Bill"
KLTV- 7 ^ | June 19, 2011 | Annette Falconer

Governor Rick Perry has signed "The Baker's Bill", leading Texas bakers in hope for another source of income, all while staying in their home.

KLTV's Annette Falconer talks with one east Texas baker, who can't wait to start her baking business.

It's the day that can't come too soon for baker, Stephanie Frazier.

"September first you'll hear me calling around saying, hey, would you like a cookie?", says Frazier.

Governor Perry signed the "Bakers Bill", allowing bakers like Fazier to sell their non-perishable goodies.

"If you had a kitchen under the same roof where people slept, you were not allowed to sell your food but now this removes this restriction for us," says Frazier.

The bill comes with a couple restrictions, like the maximum that they can make and where they sell their treats, but most of it is for the consumer's safety.

Frazier says, "They can call the health department and say, I just wanted to check, to see if you have any complaints about mama steph and they could tell you if there were anything."

'Mamasteph' says this bill allows her to do what she loves, and gives her a chance to make a little extra money.

"Now that will help supplement for people who just want to try something fun and new and maybe put a little extra money in your pocket which is always a nice thing," says Frazier.

Huh? Most of the laws in place that makes Texas what it is, as far as jobs is concerned, have nothing to do with Perry. Most of them were already in place, but of course with Perry being the slick politicion he is he will take credit for them. Thus law will pander as much or more to illegals because most of them cook food out of their homes to sell. Just one more law they dont have to worry about and seeing how, as far as I know right now, Houston is still a sanctuary city so illegals are sitting pretty good now. By the way, if your not from Texas and dealing with these issues, you wouldnt understand. Just saying.

Maybe “allsouthern” is a trial lawyer.

Perry just signed the “loser pays” into law.

Trail lawyers are going to be doing everything they can to block his nomination and beyond that, his election to the White House.

Im saying the way you refer to what Perry “says” so much your either not from Texas or you really havent been paying attention. By the way, how many terms has Perry had to get something done about illegals and these sanctuary cities? Still, NOTHING!

Nothing like a cold can of beans and a handful of crackers to remind one the necessity to be frugal. Party or eat. Was great lessons in this redneck’s life.

Those parents that give their kids money and CCs are really setting them up for massive shock. Those are the ones living with Mom and Dad at 38 AND still getting the handout.

Hello?????????

Give me your plan! Give me any plan anyone has! Where is AZ today with their law!!? The Feds are blocking this. Perry is expanding Secure Cities and ICE program (Post #40 to YOU).

Rick Perry: “If you show up illegally, without your card or you’re here as a criminal element, I’m for throwing the book at those folks, but the issue of people who want to legally, thoughtfully and appropriately come to America to work and help us build our economy — we should quickly come up with a program and an identification card to do that.” (Post #40 to YOU)

Good, now my wife is legal. She has baked and cooked for friends for years - mostly for fun/a gift, but sometimes for money (like making a month worth of food for single people that we know). I was never really worried about anyone from the state coming to our door, but it is nice to be officially legal.

OK, Governor Perry, that’s a good start - NOW WHERE IS THAT TSA BILL?;

Why does that matter? You think that changes the FACTS about Perry? Vote for him. Thats your right. Im just trying to give some insight on the dude. By the way, if he was to win the White House, the DREAM ACT will become a whole new threat. Bet on it.
