I’m not sure if it’s still there, and my husband and I are wracking our brains trying to remember the name of that place (it’s been 20+ years!! LOL). But, to answer your question, yes the was an AWESOME hot dog joint there - had a few lunches during high school there (we still had open campus back then). “Back in the day” there was also a Baskin-Robbins, a pet store, a Chinese Restaurant, and a 7-11.

has a video of the police investigation. It was very close to the hot dog stand. I think the name is Heffeys (sp). It was also very close to the Prospect Heights police station.
