Right. Good kids in a stolen car. Got it. What was not said is if there were legal or not.
fyi
Karma will get you everytime!
< sarcasm > Well that goes without saying. < /sarcasm >
Can’t imagine the speed they must have been traveling at to split the car in half... I know exactly where this is (grew up in the area). Can’t even imagine driving that fast down Camp MacDonald coming up on Elmhurst Rd.(Rte. 83). I wouldn’t be surprised if they got “air” over the intersection and then lost control. Of course, I haven’t been there in a long while, so maybe it’s not as much of a “bump” there any longer.
As for the kids who were killed - I’d have to know where in PH or MP they lived in order to even guess at their immigration status. Even 25 years ago we had a decent-sized (LEGAL) Hispanic/Latino population in the area. I think it’s more likely a safe bet that these kids belonged to a gang vs. being illegal... The Latin Kings have been there for a couple decades now. Of course, they could be NEITHER illegal, NOR gang members. Right now the only thing one could really say without jumping to conclusions is that these were VERY, VERY foolish kids...
Shoot... Forgot to mention another thing re: the relative who said these were “good kids”. Are they the same type of “good kids” as the ones from the South Side that helped that teenager kill his father in Arl. Hts. last month? A whole bunch of folks commenting on that article at the Daily Herald website said these “kids” who participated in a VERY gruesome murder were “good kids”, and in the wrong place at the wrong time... The stupidity of some folks amaze me. Perhaps it’s the shock of finding out they are in trouble, or gone that makes the relatives’ eyes glaze over and bathes the child in a “can do no wrong” light.
Well they’re good an dead now....

Is this another case where an SUV kidnapped some kids and went on a rampage? /S
