Not real fond of Bruce but Clemons could really jam. This is really sad.

May God bless him and may he rest in peace.

In concert he was a hoot, a legend for sure. He will always have a place in my mind’s ear.

I'm very sorry to learn this.

People have strong opinions about Springsteen. For over 30 years he has fielded some outstanding bands.

Clemons and and his sax were the hook for so many hits.

Dang. Saw Springsteen live twice (Madison Sq Garden and in Hartford, CT) on the Born to Run tour. Great shows. Clemons was awesome.

So, I assume that was his solo on "Born to Run"? Classic.

Oh wow! Clemons was one of the best, if not THE best saxophone players. May he rest in peace.

Never really a fan of Springsteen but always liked the Big Man. A shame - 69 isn’t that old these days.

Jungleland - live at the Capital Center in 1980.

I was there. Clemons was the heart of the E Street Band. RIP.

Springsteen couldn’t carry a tune in wheelbarrow.
The Johny Cash of rock and roll.
When he wasn’t singing off key he was spewing his liberal drivel.

When the change was made uptown
And the BIG MAN joined the band
From the coastline to the city
All the little pretties raise their hands
I’m gonna sit back right easy and laugh
When Scooter and the Big Man bust this city in half
With a Tenth Avenue freeze-out, Tenth Avenue freeze-out
Tenth Avenue freeze-out...

I would have heard him about 3 weeks after that. They played with intensity and passion at every stop.

As a college kid I worked at our arena in Ames Iowa. Many groups showed up just for the paycheck, and it was easy to tell. Not Springsteen.
He left it all on the stage in our town, which wouldn't have been considered a top arena to play by many.

That has always impressed me.

I will really miss the big man. Sad. There are times I really hate getting older.

The Prince and I went to the Born to Run concert in 1980 at the LA Coliseum and got the t-shirt to prove it!

Please Sir, a little respect. A man has died. Save your vitriol for another thread.

Clarence Clemons was a great musician, and I for one will miss him.
