SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- A University of New Mexico football player who was arrested after wearing saggy pants on a plane at San Francisco airport insists in a video showing part of his exchange with authorities on the aircraft that his pants were up and he had done nothing wrong.

The San Francisco Chronicle obtained the video and a link to it was on the newspaper's website Saturday.

http://hitdanback.com/ has a couple of interesting complaints about USAirways and their dresscode or non-dresscode. The only dresscode they claim is one for non-revenue passage. When it comes to paying passengers there is none ~ or not one I would call a dresscode. There are numerous websites saying there’s no dresscode for any of the airlines EXCEPT non-rev.

In the end the airline is a private business and they can set rules or refuse service.

Yeah. And we're told that it is the airlines that request genital screening of particular passengers. All I can say to that is a big BS.

That said, why in the heck do black women go for these black guys who are walking along the streets lurching back and forth to keep their pants up

that's the only ones they can catch?

"I believe in due time all the facts of the matter will come to light,"

Actually, that was the problem.

(And an unattractive set of facts they were.)

BULL! I’m an ‘old fat man’. I flown hundreds of thousands of mile for 20+ years. That has NEVER EVER happened to me and I’ve never witnessed it. Ever. I call BULL LOUDLY.
Wear your clothes appropriately and stop with the sorry excuses.

I think the problem is the rest of us don’t want to see his azz hanging out of his pants.

If that is the case, then they should not have allowed him on the plane.

Appears the gate agent followed him to the aircraft door, trying to get him to pull his pants up. He just ingored the request and got on. So they threw him off.

From the article:

"When he was asked by our employee at the Jetway to please pull them up, that employee was told to pull them up for him," she said. "And that exchange continued to the door of the plane."

Hmm, the excuse is as long as you are a paying passenger there appears to be NO dress code on USAirways.

And just because you've never seen something that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

US Airways website says "......Dress code We require that all passengers traveling on AD75 dress in casual business attire. US Airways gate agents are instructed to enforce this dress code, and passengers who fail to dress appropriately may be denied boarding........"

Wouldn't that mean no jeans, shorts, sweats, halter tops, dirty t-shirts, etc.? How is it that this man, among the hundreds of thousands who dress as I have noted, get pulled off a plane and they don't?

They obviously cared or there wouldn’t have been a problem.

The dudes with badges don’t get involved until the airline calls them.

I’m with Hulka on this one. I’m not Japanese and I’m always looking around at my fellow passengers for signs of trouble, fuses sticking out of shoes, guys trying to light their underwear on fire, etc.

Where I live virtually every black woman over 30 weighs several hundred pounds, wears very tight, totally clownish type clothing with flame tips, blonde cow pies or other fantastic colors and styles in their hair. They carry on conversations that are clearly audible from a hundred yards away.
In short, they are happy with any doofus they can get their hands on.

If he had a "non revenue" ticket ~ which could be issued by a travel agent out of the number of tickets allowed to be charged off as "non revenue" under the agreement between the airlines and the authorized ticket agents ~ then he had to agree to a dress code.

He may not have been aware there was a dress code however. That could occur if "coach" whoever gave him a ticket in his name to go to the funeral and return.

"Coach" whoever would tap his resources in the travel agent racket (who he would know from the team's dealings with travel agents for away games) and get a free or non-revenue ticket.

I think this may very well violate NCAA rules!

Both "coach" whoever and the player may be in some serious trouble ~

I pay VERY close attentiuon to what is going on. Especially on an aircraft.

I think you “see” those incidents because it is something you want to see. . .not that there is anything wrong with that. . .

Silliest comment this month, possibly this year.

In case of an emergency evacuation this yahoo would have been a liability due to his inability to beat a hasty retreat.

That and the fact that putting your butt in the face of everyone is foul.
