Bachmann may also be plagued by her involvement in a controversial pardon. In 2007, Bachmann wrote a letter requesting a presidential pardon for a convicted drug-smuggler and money-launderer named Frank Vennes. Vennes was convicted of money laundering in 1988 and pleaded no contest to a cocaine and weapons charge. Making matters worse, he and his wife donated a total of $27,600 to Bachmanns 2006 and 2008 election.
(Ron Paul is NOT going to be POTUS though.)
Right now Bachmann is going through somewhat of a honeymoon with the RINOs and even the folks at MSNBC because they see her as a means of keeping Palin out of the race or slowing Palin down.
Once Michele's usefulness ends, it will be open season on her.
Just wait, one of her foster kids will come out with some stories to toast her.
The old divide and conquer theory in play. A little earlier I believe it was Santorum that the dirt was piled on. What Republican is up next?
Thus beginneth the smear campaign against Bachman.
The leftists are just terrified of our women and will say/do anything to smear them. At this rate, we’ll only have Romney left by the convention and most of us don’t want him.
Whatever we do, DON’T LET THE DBM PICK OUR CANDIDATE AGAIN!!!!!!
wire hangers?
If the RINOs have their way, it will be Romney. If the media has its way, it will be Huntsman.
The long knives have been unsheaved.
That being said, pushing for pardons in exchange for campaign donations is really a sign of a corrupt politician.
When someone is hooked up to the Muslim brotherhood it gets my attention.
Unless you vote “present” like Obama, a member of Congress or a state legislator after prolonged debate will have votes that some will not agree with. And he/she will have company in making that decision such as members of the same party.
A governor on the other hand has to make decisions that only he/she can make - that’s why its called the executive branch. And sometimes those are made in response to an event, natural or manmade. A governor’s record would be a lot more representative of the type of person he/she would be as president. Michele may be very good at debating questions as she has had lots of practice in the state legislature and US House chambers, and she may be good in responding to district constituent concerns with legislation or earmarks. However, it’s not the same experience a governor has in singularly deciding questions and taking actions that directly affect the public across a state.
You are to Bachmann what Pissant was to Palin. Pure hatred with a slice or two of unprovable conspiracy. Here we are recycling old news to get your slams in on a Conservative woman.
Bachmann stated on numerous interviews about the pardon. If you read closely to this hack article, you can see his true motives for bringing it up:
Some have questioned whether or not evangelical Christians like Bachmann may be naive when it comes to claims of redemption.
Do you subscribe to that form of bigotry towards her? Do her religious beliefs make her too naive to lead?
Are you looking for a presidential candidate or someone to nominate to replace Jesus? I can guarantee that fault can be found with ANY candidate. Or is your intention to damage Bachman to make sure a RINO gets the nomination?
And in the distance, I hear the faint roar of the trash-o-matic machine kicking in to higher gear.
Yes, if you’re a woman politician.
The problem isn’t earmarks, it’s spending.
Let me know when she’s handing out needles to addicts and using money to build bike paths for her church.
Since this Earmarks issue has come up, I have some links and quotes on this.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,508604,00.html
Ron Paul - “I have never voted for an earmark. I voted against all appropriation bills.”
“An earmark is a congressional provision that directs federal agencies to spend funds already authorized on specific projects.
If the funds arent earmarked, the agencies can spend the money any way they see fit.
That is, the executive branch, rather than Congress, will determine how the taxpayers money is spent.”
http://www.ronpaul.com/2009-03-11/ron-paul-on-earmarks/
“What is done is those earmarks are removed and some of them are very wasteful and unnecessary,
but that money then goes to the executive branch.”
“Were supposed to tell the people how were spending the money.
Not to just deliver it in the lump sum to the executive branch and let them deal with it.”
MAybe we need a Bachman truth file. We’ve got to burn this village down to save it.
All 23 of her foster children!!!
Hit Paul? Hit is the least of it; we'll beat him like a rug, since he lies like one.
