That’s just what I was thinking.
That was easy, wasn’t it? Guess they’ll be making more of those.
Over the past two years, we have seen Republicans use long-held racist imagery in portrayals of Obama. The president has been depicted as a communist witch doctor, a man inclined to plant watermelons on the White House lawn, and we watched in disbelief as his face was placed on an "Obama Buck Food Stamp" along with stereotyped pictures of fried chicken, barbecue ribs, Kool-Aid and the obligatory watermelon.Where to begin?
What does any of this have to do with public policy or conservative values? Here is a man who excelled academically at the finest schools in the world, has a wonderful in-tact family, worked hard and rose to become president of the United States. Yet in spite of his accomplishments, the president is still labeled an illegitimate, socialist, African witch doctor and has his face superimposed on a chimpanzee.
Assuming that such cartoons even appeared, how representative OF Republicanism are they? Are they common and popular in the party ... or ... (wait for it ...) are they immediately condemned -- and they result in the effective ostacization of the offending cartoon-creator?
Obama excelled in school? Let's see a transcript. The closest thing I've seen to evidence on that score is his Magna designation on his Harvard Law degree. (Now, bear in mind, it's not hard to be lazy and get As in many classes, if not all, even at HLS -- something I'm personally acquainted with.)
So what is he going to do when he sees signs from the left that are much, much worse?
Leave the Dems to come back over to the Right or find a way to dismiss it.

He’s like the “lifelong republicans” that call talk radio and say that, out of conscience, they must finally leave the party because it’s not super liberal. :-)
