First kittens, then puppies and hamsters and now goldfish?
San Francisco's Animal Control and Welfare Commission is recommending that the City ban the sale of goldfish, tropical fish and guppies in its borders, according to Matier and Ross.
The recommendation to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is part of the commission's ongoing efforts to discourage "impulse buys" of animals.
The commission's ban would cover pet stores and breeders in the City. It comes after more than a year of study and findings that aquarium fish are often mass bred under inhumane conditions or stripped from the wild.

From the wild? In over 50 years of fishing California waters, I have never caught a goldfish.
Eventually the Peoples Republic of San Francisco is going to ban something that someone there wants to have sex with. Then they’ll decide that government has gone too far.

No. Goldfish are significantly smarter than democrats.
It’s a darn shame such a geographically impressive city has been taken over and destroyed by such utter clowns.
Yep, they can ban goldfish, Happy Meals, and circumcision. But they can’t ban public sex activity at the Folsom Street Fair.

As someone in the trade I call bullsh*t. I have toured the breeders my company uses. There are also limits to the number that can be collected in the wild. Over collect and you put YOURSELF out of business because the fish are gone.
Guppies and gold fish have been tank bread for YEARS.
Now, if we can pass laws like this about fish, how about allowing liberals to breed?
Goldfish are bait, food for larger pet fish, etc.
