By the way, how long has it been since the WTC was destroyed, and it's still not rebuilt yet?

Amazing stuff. The difference in attitudes in Japan and New Orleans post-Katrina is like day and night. It looks like it will be the same with the results.

but what did they do with all the flotsam and debris from the clean up???

the steel yeah, but all the shredded wood houses etc... burn it or turn it all into new plywood???

We went to Cancun in Nov. following the Oct. storm in 05. The resort where we stayed looked as though it had never been touched. When you don’t live in a welfare society you have to get off you collective butts!

That is an interesting question. I’m sure they aren’t above burning it to expedite the cleanup, but as you point out, it could be useful too.
