If this little turd is not a Muslim, he sure hates, walks and talks like a Muslim.
“Cenk Uygur”
Sounds like the Turkish version of “Chuck Yeager.” :)
For me it conjured up the words ‘coyote ugly’, lol.
Reminds me of this quote from PJ O’Rourke:
“I have only one firm belief about the American political system, and that is this: God is a Republican and Santa Claus is a Democrat.
God is an elderly or, at any rate, middle aged male, a stern fellow, patriarchal rather than paternal and a great believer in rules and regulations. He holds men accountable for their actions. He has little apparent concern for the material well being of the disadvantaged. He is politically connected, socially powerful and holds the mortgage on literally everything in the world. God is difficult. God is unsentimental. It is very hard to get into God’s heavenly country club.
Santa Claus is another matter. He’s cute. He’s nonthreatening. He’s always cheerful. And he loves animals. He may know who’s been naughty and who’s been nice, but he never does anything about it. He gives everyone everything they want without the thought of quid pro quo. He works hard for charities, and he’s famously generous to the poor. Santa Claus is preferable to God in every way but one: There is no such thing as Santa Claus.”
Parliament of Whores
LOL!
When I first saw this thread, I thought Cenk Uygur was a strain of veneral disease contracted from prostitutes in Istanbul.
I will give someone the shirt off my back...I will not give someone the shirt off someone else's back
He sounds about as Biblically informed as those shrill whiner liberal types who exclaim “Thou shalt not kill” at the military while proving to the world in one mouthful that they have not read a single page of the Old Testament, and probably the New Testament either.
You folks are all correct who point out that this fellow is either entirely misinformed about Christian scripture or is simply dishonest about it.
Either way, the best response (when one is allowed) to these situations is to politely say:
“Bless you, Mr Uygur, for acknowledging that Christ’s message to us is of the utmost importance. His is revealed wisdom. It is perfect. Beyond any correction coming from institutions of men....
...and I am spiritually obligated to do my best to understand the meaning of God’s word, so if you would like to discuss specific passages which you feel support your argument, then let’s get to work.”
When libs use Christ in a phony way like this, take the opportunity to have them acknowledge His rightful place at the top of our sources for moral guidance in general. (it will help when the conversation rolls around to gay marriage, abortion, flat taxes and more.)
If the debate begins to center on what are the correct meanings of specific portions of the bible, then we have already won the moral foundations debate and are well on our way, once the book opens, to detailing why.
If, instead, the lib reflexively resorts to denigrating His word, then the Light now shining on his hypocritical tactics should be revealing enough to the audience.
Spoken like a true Muzzie’s thought pattern. (yeah I know, he lays claim to being a Christian, but then, so does Obama)
Another distinction between Democrats, God, and Santa Clause: neither God nor Santa Clause commits larceny by stealing from those who have until everyone is equally a have-not (except God, Santa Clause and his elves).
I thought that all the Ugyurs were releasd from Gitmo and sent to Bermuda..
