It is quite a remarkable feat that Chris Matthews has the ability to degrade a presidential candidate by uttering a single word.
With a long track record of questionable behavior, Matthews on his show Tuesday added another line to his résumé. In closing remarks right before a commercial break, former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele pointed out that the GOP has been moving further to the right since President Barack Obamas election and that 2012 Republican presidential candidate Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann had characteristics that set her apart from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Two things one, that movement has been taking place for two years, it is not a surprise, Steele said. And number two, Bachmann is the working womans Palin and so I think theres a lot of opportunity.
That prompted yet another bizarre response from Matthews.
I think she is what she is, which separates her from a lot of these broads, Matthews said.

I am a conservative woman and refer to myself as an old broad, I really don’t see an issue.

Perhaps you don’t, but I wonder if Mathews gal pal Rachel Maddow likes to be called a broad,LMAO.
Well, I’m sure she’d whip the dog-doo out of Matthews is he said it to her. And never even take the cigar out of her mouth while doing it.
I’ve used “chicks” too, and even the most liberal, feminazi acquaintances of mine didn’t flinch. Almost never used broad’ before as I’m not even 30. Actually I did say “our teacher’s a hot broad with tight bod”. If you’re not offended, I’m cool with that. Please gawd, don’t make me defend Tingles’...
Well both Matthews and Steele are simply losers and if the Women on our side are broads, then the Women on the Left are simply, “ugly foots” and then they wonder why their husband cheat on them. If I had to marry something like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi or Rachel Maddow, i would be in a strip club every night of the week!
One has to wonder, do turd faces such Chris exempt themselves and their kids, grand kids, great grand kids, from all the trash talk they engage in so much. Comeon Chis, spit it out, you know you got it in you.
I fully expect for him to start calling for assassination of women politicians, should they not be Democraps.

Didja ever see the old bumper sticker that said "I don't blame Bill, I'd cheat on Hillery too"
I’m starting to wonder the whole gay thing out, if in the end it is PC for whoever has like genital warts in their mouth. I cannot explain the liberal phobia for clean people otherwise.
Let us face it, they do not want merely to keep ourselves from blessing ourselves, but their kumbaya hug mentality is about forcing homosexuality on us - while they may distance themselves from it.
They want us to pay, to “get” the virus, thowing various “innocent” epithet at us.
Why do people like Chris Matthews who are so far gone, really, get so much play here on FR? Can we just let him and his ilk go and focus rather on what it’s going to take to get the right conservatives in charge of him and his media realm?
Matthews suffers from Tourette’s.
He can’t stop blurting out whatever crosses his mind.
Just like other terms used within minority groups, YOU can refer to yourself as an "old broad", but it should not be acceptable for people outside the culture of "old broads" to refer to old broads as "old broads". Think of the use of the "N" word, as opposed to the culture depicted in the opening sequence of "Full Metal Jacket". Chrissy is no "Gunnery Sgt Hartman".
Good point.
I haven’t heard him use it for his female friends on the left - he obviously used it to denigrate while knowing he wouldn’t get into trouble with women’s groups for sodoing. Just one of their many double standards.
Bingo! The venues are entirely different, and the professionalism attributed to a person in Matthew’s line of work should not be allowed to include the use of such terms.
