(CNSNews.com) – Twenty-eight months after Congress passed President Obama’s signature economic stimulus law, and nearly one year after he declared the summer of 2010 to be “Recovery Summer,” 1.9 million fewer people are employed.
In February 2009, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that 141.7 million people were employed. By the end of May 2011 – the last month for which data are available – that number had fallen to 139.8 million, a difference of 1.9 million.
While the number of people with jobs has increased slightly from its low point during the recession – 137.9 million in December 2009 – those 1.9 million jobs have been lost despite $800 billion in stimulus spending.

Just as they planned it. They fooled the idiots one time.And if they decide to do it in 2012, they will. If obama doesn't want to make the effort he will simply cancel the election.
Should he cancel the election in 2012, the Democrat Party and Republican Party will chane "Excellent choice" in unison.

That’s it exactly.
The party line is that things would have been much worse if we had not passed Porkulus.
Also, do you notice that the administration and the MSM don’t talk much about the unemployment rate anymore? Instead, they talk about “jobs saved”, “jobs created”, and “jobs related to the stimulus”.
Nancy Pelosi jumped down Bush’s throat one time as unemployment approached 6% during the Bush years, hyperventilating at how that rate was way too high, and too many people were suffering, yadda, yadda, yadda. Today’s 9+% unemployment rate doesn’t matter, though. If a good Democrat is president, then traditional measures of economic health are just ignored. And we make up new measures, such as the “jobs saved” thing they keep talking about.
And how creative of them. There is no way to independently verify the number of “jobs saved”, so the Obamabots can make up any number, the MSM laps it up like good lap dogs, and it’s all good.
I’ve got to tell you. This is really, REALLY unexpected.
That needs to be touted everyday in everyway as it is a palpable example of Obama’s performance and real impact on Americans.
