Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann vowed again in her appearance on GMA this morning to repeal the job-killer known as Obamacare. Yet despite several valiant attempts by George Stephanopoulos to get Bachmann to say something, anything, critical about frontrunner Mitt Romney, she refused to get off message and ignored his question completely.
When Stephanopoulos asked whether Bachmann had any critique of Romneycare in Massachusetts, Bachmann instead repeated Obamacare will steamroll over all the state laws and suggested that what anyone else will do, or has done, is not relevant to her plans. .

But you also said this: But the reality is that the guy is good on his feet and appeals to a lot of folks That is true. He doesn't appeal to me, because every time I see him, I think "Wink Martindale". But that doesn't mean that there aren't other people who do like him. That's a reality, not a preference on my part. If anything, it means that there needs to be a unifying conservative candidate emerge in that field.
Pawlenty is right on a lot of issues, but I really, really hoped he would come across stronger than he did.

That didn't stop her campaign consultant Ed Rollins from bashing Palin, did it? The Bach-bots will offer every excuse in the book.

I’m speaking from a constitutional point of view when I say there is a difference.
ClearCase_guy explained it better at post 15.

The more I see of others and what their experience is the more I like Palin. She doesn't mince words and she already defeated the "good ole boys" club in Alaska.

Funny that. That’s ok. Romney will try and win over the tea party and name her VP.
Count me out.

ClearCase_guy explained it better at post 15. He didn't explain anything. He offered another silly, incorrect opinion concerning a State Mandate vs. a Federal Mandate.
There is a huge difference between state-level action and federal-level mandates. Romney is actually pretty effective at making this point. It's a good one.
Now, as a MA resident, I can say that I'm pretty unhappy about what Romney did to healthcare in MA. He's not getting my vote. But it is absolutely true that what Obama did at the federal level is a disaster and completely unconstitutional.
Once again, there is nothing constitional, whether at the Federal level or at the State level about FORCING anyone to purchase anything.
This is a nonsense opinion.
This is socialism, period.
This was Myth Romney's attempt to make excuses for his horrible Socialistic RomneyCare.

People who say candidate X would never run on a ticket with candidate Y don’t understand the game that is being played. ALL of the candidates running are grownup politicians, not freeper 5 yr olds. Romey/Bachman is a real possibility. Pawlenty/Gulianni, Romney/Cain, Perry/Romney. Any of those are possible. I think the absolute strongest ticket, and the ideology of it makes me ill, would be Romney/Huckabee. Those two guys hate each other but I guarantee if Mitt could snag the nomination that Huck would not turn him down.

My apologies if I have offended you.
That being said, trying to pass off something as dumb as FORCING anyone to buy anything as constitutional just because it is done at the State Level vs. the Federal Level is still just plain silly.
