Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
“Perhaps Sarah won ... “
She was the elephant in the room...and on this thread too, apparently. Everyone already KNOWS who the candidate to beat is. And they can not do it. That was so evident.
Any conservative on FR on this thread knows full well that Rick Santorum, in any FAIR situation, walked away with this debate tonight. RAN away with this debate tonight. It is intellectually dishonest to say otherwise, and I won’t. NONE of the other candiates on that stage had a quarter of his street creds.
I agree...these folks are just getting warmed up..although Palin and Backman have been on the circuit and in front of cameras for eons now!....again.. in that of raising people up to be informed and getting the fire in them. They have indeed accomplished that since the last election.
But now the race has begun and time to be clear and precise. Am anxious to hear Palin in the debates...very!
AGREED! NO ROMNEY FOR ME. EVEN IF IT MEANS OBAMA ANOTHER 4 YEARS! I DON’T CARE HOW HERETICAL THAT SOUNDS!
Thanks rodguy.
Yea, that’s who he will be working for within a few months imo. (unless like you say he is already working for him. That is the way Romney operates, backstabbing behind the scenes while out it front his whitewashed self shines and glimmers.)
Nope, they don't have an agenda and Mrs. Bachmann is not smart enough to figure it out.
My wife and I both agreed the candidates did very well. They all went after Obama instead of each other, I’m surprised at all the negativity here tonight.
John King uses the word “super-conservative” to describe tea partiers, but tries to balance that characterization with Dennis Kucinich, whom he described as “a liberal.” Not “arch-liberal,” not “radical liberal,” not “ultra-liberal,” not “super-liberal.”
Of what, the “how many times can you mention the Fed” contest?
Yes MB is the MSM favorite! That`s all anybody with a brain should need to hear. It was already decided before the debate started that they wopuld say MB helped herself the most
They are only rooting for MB because of their hatred of Palin, that`s the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I have noticed a whole bunch of gratuitous Bachmann bashing from you; are you one of those mittbot thingies, eh? Just asking...
JC
I definitely liked Pawlenty sticking up for her on the "who made the right choice for VP" question. Palin/Pawlenty 2012: The Govs fit!
LOL yes MB is the mainstream media’s new darling.
Can't stand her voice.
Like most leftists and the GOP, they will say anything if they can get it to end in "Keep Mrs. Palin out."
When Governor Palin gets in, Michelle will stay for a while (to save face) then drop out and support Palin.
LOL.
Yes only at the airports, but only if one's flight is delayed, the wireless is down, and there isn't paint drying on the terminal walls... :)
She doesn’t have the spark or charisma! You’re so right!
“A non interventionist foreign policy is a conservative foreign policy. Spending trillions of dollars a year to police the world is not conservative, and thats the policy that we have right now.”
I don’t think so. Libertarians are isolationists.
I don’t think isolationism is good foreign policy.
Nor do I think “world police,” with our activities in Yemen and Libya particularly, are wise or constitutional.
But taking the war to those who make trouble for us (the Taliban) or aiding our allies in just causes is conservative; and Libertarians oppose these things.
Would she support Palin when it’s time for her to drop out? Hmm...I suppose my bet is yes, I do believe she is ultimately a principled person—but you just never know.
Bachmann was quite impressive.
