Herman Cain On “The Factor”
US Election News ^ | 6/10/11 | Jillian Curtin

O’Reilly seemed to rush through the interview, and in his characteristic style, didn’t give Cain much time to elaborate on his answers, but the former businessman and radio host seemed to hold his own, spitting out answers when possible, and attempting at least twice to push back against O’Reilly’s interview demeanor, refusing to be bullied, though at times he seemed to be having trouble keeping up with O’Reilly’s fast paced manner.

O’Reilly began with a direct question, asking Cain if there was “one overriding reason” for him to be President? Cain replied, ” It’s time to have a problem solver that knows how to apply business skills to solving the problems in this country in the White House.” He lit into President Obama’s leadership and policy tactics while in his first term in office, saying “Obama has put the wrong gas in the tank of our economy.”

Obviously, this being his first time around the block, Mr. Cain didn’t understand the format of being interviewed by BOR:

Ted Baxter not only asks the questions, he also provides the answers.

RE: Britt Hume should have that hour. He is a solid, polite, to-the-point, and FAIR interviewer.

Unfortunately he isn’t as entertaining as BOR. That’s what FOX is looking for — hard hitting AND entertaining.

BOR’s confrontation with Barney Frank on Fannie Mae and the Mortgage Crisis for instance was a huge, mad screaming match (like verbal pro-wrestling). See here:

That was also one of the most watched and re-watched interviews of the year and brought in ratings (what else?).

Brit Hume would not be half as entertaining ( unfortunately ).

>> I like Cain, but his response to O’Reiley’s question “how will you stop Iran from getting a nucular bomb was irrelevant and nonsensical.>>

Maybe the question was nonsensical. We probably can’t prevent them from getting a bomb - we can only state what we will do if they use it.

BTW, have you heard anyone capable of answering this question? Or do we give current office holders a pass on this because we already know they are incompetent?

Fox News is so incredibly “dumbed down”, it’s pathetic. So why do you watch it? What do you prefer pMSNBC? What's you're alternative for news?

Radio - Internet - FOX Business News. When Beck leaves that only leaves Greta. If she left I probably would never watch FOX except maybe Red Eye.

Like BOR, neither Beck nor Greta are news sources.
Glad to see you listed "the Internet": A) That sure narrows it down; B) That's a really reliable source.

“...didn’t give Cain much time to elaborate on his answers...”

Of course not. That would take too much face time away from Bill O’Really.

He responded that if he knew what the Afghan mission at it’s most basic form was, then he would be able to make a clear strategy to continue the efforts...

Let's have barry tell him what the mission is. That would be interesting.

Compared to Herman Cain O'Reilly is a DWEEB.

DWEEB: A person regarded as socially inept or foolish, often on account of being overly studious.
