OReilly seemed to rush through the interview, and in his characteristic style, didnt give Cain much time to elaborate on his answers, but the former businessman and radio host seemed to hold his own, spitting out answers when possible, and attempting at least twice to push back against OReillys interview demeanor, refusing to be bullied, though at times he seemed to be having trouble keeping up with OReillys fast paced manner.
OReilly began with a direct question, asking Cain if there was one overriding reason for him to be President? Cain replied, Its time to have a problem solver that knows how to apply business skills to solving the problems in this country in the White House. He lit into President Obamas leadership and policy tactics while in his first term in office, saying Obama has put the wrong gas in the tank of our economy.

“Fox News is so incredibly dumbed down, its pathetic.”
There is definitely a virus going around the political and media class—clinically proportioned narcisisim.
Herman Cain deserved more than he got from BO, and should never return. To be used as a mannequin for Bill O’Reilly to talk down to, and blow off, is not a venue for a good candidate—it’s for the desperate, or someone prepared to give as good as he gets.
I was thoroughly embarrassed by Bill’s distaste for the man and the interview. Herman Cain held no interest for Bill and appears to be stuck in his Business 101 campaign message. Cain has got to strafe the beach of all issues, all the time and show that he has broadened his scope, or he is going to get labeled as a singular issue competent and nothing more.
At this point the only realistic answer to the Iran question is war.
Unfortunately after a decade of war in Iraq and Afghanistan plus the other wars Obama has inexplicably dragged us into, the last thing people want to hear is the realistic answer.
At the very least there will be some intensive bombing of Iran at some point but for a candidate to come right out and say it would be a campaign killer.
Um...Free Republic!!
Saw the interview, BOR was very rude.
Cain did well when he could get a word in edgewise.
Like to learn more about HCain’s views on various topics.
BTW, BOR thinks piling on Weiner by press and comedians is now over the top...Congressman made his own bed...now the consequences. Workers in the real-world would be fired on the spot for this type of activity.
>>> There is no answer by anybody. ANYBODY ANYBODY To answer this question would be war. Want war? Do you not realize? O’Reilly is a communists social liberal and most of us knows it.>>>
AMEN. This is what jackasses like BOR does, he asks a question that is impossible to answer by anybody. Obama can’t answer it, Mitt can’t answer it, Sarah can’t answer it and BOR can’t answer it. It’s time for folks to recognize the difference between an interviewer who is out for gotcha and an interviewer that really wants to let the viewer have insight into the person being interviewed.
Or the way he sexually harasssed mega skank and Porn queen Jenna Jameson off camera for a free sample of her videos and(or) a private convo in his office after shooting. Orly is an idiot and a closet Obot..him and his folks...His "folks" are the same dolts who elected the Presidential Pantload. Populist simpleton and resident critic above it all. Glenn beck needs to cavort with better people.
I’d love to see O’Reilly disappear and take his Long Island blather with him. Britt Hulme should have that hour. He is a solid, polite, to-the-point, and FAIR interviewer.
There are two things about BOR. His columns I read in my local newspaper are usually very good, logical and well-written.
But he is a terrible interviewer. He consistently asks a guest a question, and then before the guest can get out half a sentence, BOR interrupts him, and then all you hear are both of them talking at the same time, so you can’t make out what either one is saying. Krauthammer is the only one he allows to complete a sentence, probably because Kraut is his intellectual superior.
Hannity is almost as bad interrupting guests as BOR. Greta, at least, usually allows the guest to finish his/her point.
IMHO...
Only way to deal with Iran weapons is militarily, i.e., “a war” and a candidate would be way off base if they said literally that - “go to war”.
Because
a) they don’t have all the current info (there could be sensitive communications going on at any given moment between them and an ally or us) and a possible future President babbling war at the wrong moment is unwise
b) it is very unwise to telegraph the detailed tactics of one’s Presidency prior to election, can only speak in general terms and try to keep things positive, not keep saying “I will take the nation to war”, or the candidate will only receive votes from the dedicated warrior types who wisely view that stance as the best one to have peace through strength
c) once in office, the situation could be entirely different, rendering whatever specific campaign promises that were made needing to be broken, thus hurting one’s Presidency
This is the carnival barker for the masses, the “conservative-lite” version of newsman, watered down, opinionated with slick quick sound bite lines; his interviews need to be taken with a tablespoon of salt.
This was actually one his more disappointing performances.
He could have been a bit more articulate in explaining that even if the capital gains tax goes to zero, and you are no longer collecting any tax through capital gains, government revenues increase due to the increased economic activity and increased tax collection from other sources. (And then he could have made a nice segue over to how the Fair Tax would cover that.)
He also blew it a bit on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Drilling for oil here will hurt Iran economically, but it won’t stop them from getting a bomb in two months. He should have flat out said, “We need to stop them at all costs. If that means an airstrike, so be it.”
Otherwise a decent job. He’ll need to close these loopholes in his arguments if he wants to win. I hope he does because I like him.
Couple of weeks ago, saw O’Reilly and Rivera talking about the womanizer Khan and what a dirt bag he is. Those two sure don’t have very good memories...
(Ref. your comments on BOR and Geraldo’s book of conquests).
Oh was that Herman Cain on the Factor? I just remember Bill O’Reilly doing all the talking. a hole.
I like Cain, so I’m partisan, but I can tell you there is NO answer on Iran. It is absolutely a “boots on the ground” scenario if you cannot provoke a domestic revolution. There are simply too many sites, and they are too well protected, for simple bombing operations. There are no other options. I can’t imagine any candidate pretending there are, and no one would say send in troops. Not gonna happen. Wouldn’t be prudent.
Honestly nobody knows what to do about Iran. Why should Cain be any different. I think Herman is doing very well on the interview circuit. He should do well in the debate on Monday evening.
Help spread the word about Herman. Post one article a day on your FaceBook page...let all your friends know it's time to raise some Cain!!
“phone sex raped”? LOL! I wonder if the woman ever figured out how to hang up the phone. She must have been thinking “ka ching” every time O’Stupid called and got taped.
Almost anybody is O’Reilly’s intellectual superior.
Fox is the best, but I do not like BOR.
I like Cain, but his response to O’Reiley’s question “how will you stop Iran from getting a nucular bomb was irrelevant and nonsensical.
