GOP Consultants Expecting Newt’s Guys to Jump to Perry

Just checked in with three GOP consultants, all of whom have been in the campaign business a while and none of whom are yet affiliated with a 2012 presidential campaign, about today’s mass exodus of staffers from Team Newt.

GOP Consultant One: “Knew this was coming… I bet Perry is in this thing sooner rather than later – these guys aren’t jumping off without somewhere else to land.”

GOP Consultant Two: “Knowing all those guys, they are neither impetuous not impulsive. I also have never seen a two week vacation two weeks after entering [the race]; I took that as portentous.”

Calm down Newt, relax.

Take some deep breaths and remember the beautiful day you spent with Pelosi on the couch.

See Newt, your fantasy can continue, just think of your Nancy and your life will be whole again.

It is really funny to me that, probably, the only person on the planet who didn’t see this coming is Newt. he probably STILL doesn’t see it coming.

The ONLY thing I don’t like about this is he’ll go back to punditry and we’ll hear more of him.

Why?

I’m interested in Perry, but I want to know his negatives. I know about the TTC thing (but it’s not a big deal to me), and I know a little about the Gardasil thing, but what else?

Señor Perry, aspiring spokesman for La Raza, comments on AZ SB1070:
"Some aspects of the law turn law enforcement officers into immigration officials by requiring them to determine immigration status during any lawful contact with a suspected alien, taking them away from their existing law enforcement duties, which are crucial to keeping citizens safe."

From one RINO to the next. Perry was for illegal alien in-state tuition. He’s a former Democrat. In addition to Guardisil and the TTC, do you need more?

Stay around FR and you will hear from the mouthy single issue folks bash Perry....ie those who would complain that Jesus Christ was a RINO... From a Texan...he’s done a helluva job as Governor...lot’s of us were former Democrats...and used our brains and became staunch conservatives....wait a minute that is what Democrats formerly were here in the south...conservatives...

Hear about Perry negatives...well are you asking did he wet the bed as a child or have seminal emissions as a teenager....hell, who knows....but I’m certain he hasn’t sworn allegiance to 57 states....

Yeah, but does he think it's still 2008?

He really has very few. You've heard of the TTC and Gardasil well the other one is he was a Democrat 25 years ago and he hasn't built a wall on our side of the Rio Grande yet.

The main negative most his opposers are seeing is his candidacy hurts Palin if she even runs which I doubt she will if Perry does.

850,000 new jobs as governor, ex-Air Force Pilot, former Texas Ag Commissioner and the 1st Republican Lt. Governor of Texas, great relationship with Republican governors, suing the EPA, fighting Obama in the media and personally confronting the guy on the tarmac as he arrived in Texas. Obama is scared, physically and politically of Perry.

Wanna say he's stupid? He still can claim 250,000 jobs created during Obama's recession. Say he's another Bush? Bush Sr. endorsed Kay Baily over him. Say he's an elitist? He went to Texas A&M. There is nothing, nothing Obama or the Dems can say about this guy except try to paint him as Bush and his feud with the Bush's and Rove and the Texas Republicans who went to Washington is well known.

President Reagan was a democrat for a while.

He was also president of the Screen Actor's Guild, a Union.

While president, Reagan spent a LOT of money and gave amnesty to a bunch of illegals.

Would you vote for him if he was running?
