The only problem I have with this is the law is against American people and American business. DO SOMETHING TO THE CRIMINAL.

Make it a felony to be in the state illegally and the penalty is immediate deportation.

I agree.

But take away the incentive, and the ‘criminals’ will go else where.

Hopefully back across the southern border.

Look at it this way, if businesses were unwilling to hire them, if they were unable to rent a place, if they couldn't get welfare, school, medical care, and so on, why would they come here?

Most of that stuff is within the purview of the state. Deportations are strictly the business of the feds.

You are right, and for all those who think its easy for a business to know it their workers are legal or not, I remind you of one Meg Whitman: billionaire, with a staff on only one person - and she was fooled by the paperwork. Would Alabama put Meg Whitman in jail? If a billionaire businesswoman married to a successful doctor can get legitimately fooled by the paperwork of one person, what the hell is a poor Bama farmer with 200 workers supposed to do?

I like being tough on immigration over all, but be careful what you wish for when you start punishing natives......

Make life tough enough and they deport themselves.
