I believe Limbaugh. But not the ultra-left-wing British rag The Guardian.

if this turns out to be so, it is a shame the Grand Margaret Thatcher fell into such unsuitable caretakers in her later years. Not fitting for a woman who made such a contribution to the same movement as Palin is today.

I wonder if Ronald Reagan were still alive, Nancy Reagan would've kept Sarah Palin away him.

I think she probably would have blocked Palin from access to Reagan.

Whereas Reagan himself would almost certainly have been delighted with Sarah Palin, if he had been able to meet her before he went into decline due to Alzheimer's.

Wow. I expect Thatcher, if she were in her right mind, would love to meet Sarah. I also expect Sarah wanted to meet her based on her respect and admiration for Thatcher.

However, the various “handlers” around Thatcher are all clearly delusional, so it’s best the situation be avoided at this point. ;-P

Sarah announced that was invited by someone to meet Lady Thatchers last year before a scheduling conflict ended that and apparently now Sarah last week sounded confident that she has plans to possibly meet Lady Thatcher if she was in better health, next month. So Sarah said this publicly but others so called “inner circle” are Thatcher are saying these things “anonymously”.....hmmm!

Then I guess Palin won’t be meeting with Lady Thatcher when she visits London. Palin shouldn’t have made any pronouncements until she was able to work something out.

“Members of the Thatcher circle are highly protective of the former prime minister, 86, who has suffered from dementia for some years. They ration her appearances with great care and are careful to ensure that she is not used by unsuitable politicians.”

I think they sort of destroyed the whole purpose of their own article and control racket. Leftist are the most clever imbeciles in human history.

The only wish we were light weight politicians. The real heavy weights are only interested in ‘showing their stuff’, not anything to do with running the gov’t.

And I doubt that any president has known everything about everything. I look at the kind of people they get their info from. Obama has failed in the category, categorically!

IIRC Sarah Palin stated how much she admired Margaret Thatcher, and mused that IF she was willing to give her audience she would very much like to visit her when she is in London.

IIRC that’s all she said, so what is the big deal?

Well, it is true that Tories think most Americans are nutters. American Conservatives do not have much in common with their English counterparts. I doubt they had a very good opinion of Reagan either until his policies proved successful, and of course George Bush had a closer friend in Blair than in anyone on the other side of the House. What angers me is the vulger slap at Palin by the leeches around Thatcher. All they had to do is tell Palin people that she was unable to see anyone. But they just HAVE to meddle in American politics, something about which they know little.

Thatcher has had a series of small strokes over the last 10 years. She had has a fall not long ago where she broke her arm, and she had to be told her children’s names, and also had to be reminded that her husband Dennis had long since passed away.

That said, Palin is no Thatcher. Sarah Palin is only potential at this stage; Margaret Thatcher actually had the experience of leading a nation for almost 12 years. Thatcher actually stopped and reversed flat out Socialism in Britain. Palin is only an aspirant at this stage. Thatcher has actually walked the walk. Once Palin actually does, then the comparisons can flow. They have no merit at this point.

Ok, I left out part. Why are the women, light weights, stupid, uninformed, but never a specific arguement about issues. That ‘discussion’ about Paul Revere, don't they have anything more current than that. And is there no other policitian who hasn't taken a bit of license to interpret a piece of history. This is about men who don't like women being strong politicians, period.

Well how about a few men standing up and being a strong conservation willing to stick to his convictions and not waver in front of a camera, HuH?

"Margaret will not be meeting Sarah Palin. If necessary we will make sure that Margaret has an off day when Palin is in London."

This gatekeeper sounds a little concerned that Margaret Thatcher would actually welcome and receive Sarah Palin, fretting over the possible necessity of whisking her away from the premises as he does.

From the text. Rush Limbaugh the US conservative radio host, was angry on Wednesday after I blogged that Magaret Thatcher would not receive Sarah Palin.....

I had listened to the initial statement by Rush Limbaugh. Angry? on the contrary. Rush mentioned the times that he was with Margaret Thatcher. This included his driving a golf cart around with Mrs Thatcher Stateside. There was indeed a tone of some regret by Rush, regret that people could be so obtuse (not his word).

He then said that at all times Mrs Thatcher retained a dignified composure and did not even say hurtful things about those she obviously was against. It was not simply her character.

Altogether a masterful commentary by Rush and well done. Not so dignified myself and working class, I would describe all and sundry with their denigration of Sarah.

Miserable lying sods!

"Margaret will not be meeting Sarah Palin. If necessary we will make sure that Margaret has an off day when Palin is in London."

A statement that doesn't even make sense on its face because Thatcher doesn't make public appearances at all anymore: she has "on days". But then, what would we expect from an anonymous source?

Rush is right 98.7% of the time and I trust Rush... calling Palin a “lightweight” was the communist buzz word that proved this nothing more than leftist dribble from someone that anyone close to Thatcher would spit in the face of.
