For the last quarter century Margaret Thatcher has been one of the world's most influential and respected political leaders, as well as one of the most controversial, dynamic, and plain-spoken.

Google Margaret Thatcher and "hate." The Left is still spewing hate for her. There are message boards where "kids" ask "Why?"

Strong, successful leaders, who do what must be done, are not loved by everyone.

The Left fears Sarah Palin will do what she says needs to be done.

If a woman says you "must NOT have this" or "you MUST spend that," or "why aren't you doing this" or "you could be working harder," it is harder to say they are mean. They sound more like they're being honest and doing it for your own good.

So far the Left has fallen short trying to find the poison-tipped arrow to kill Palin's potential presidential run.

It's interesting to see this "women hate Palin" play out today on Rush.

I challenge women to put up or shut up.

Stop sounding like junior high bitches and name reasons grown-ups can take seriously -- otherwise go get your nails done and leave this election to people who want to save the country. It's too important. If you can't think of your children and grandchildren PLEASE go watch OWN, where you can play at "caring." You are not conservatives if you are so stupid as to hate Sarah Palin because she uses her head and combs her hair and makes it look easy (is that it? She makes it look easy?) -- that she's a natural?

Thatcherism describes the conviction politics, economic and social policy, and political style of the British Conservative politician Margaret Thatcher, who was leader of her party from 1975 to 1990. -- Free markets, financial discipline, firm control over public expenditure, tax cuts, nationalism, 'Victorian values' (of the Samuel Smiles self-help variety), privatisation and a dash of populism.

I remember reading about her. She was known as The Iron Lady.

Margaret Thatcher very much reminds me of Sarah Palin; and like Thatcher, Palin will make a very fine President (aka CEO) in America.

She spent her childhood in Grantham, where her father owned two grocery shops.[4] She and her older sister Muriel were raised in the flat above the larger of the two, located near the railway line.[4]

Margaret Thatcher, like Ronald Reagan, and Sarah Palin, came from the lower middle class and knew that thrift, education, and work were the only sources of real wealth. People with inherited wealth, like the Kennedys, Roosevelts, Rockefellers, Bushes, Mitt Romney, etc. do not know this. Who is the closest to Maggie and Ronaldus Magnus today? Probably Sarah Palin.

HEY ELITIST GOP, ESTABLISHMENT TALK RADIO ETC, YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THIS QUOTE INSTEAD OF SUCKING UP TO THE MEDIA, THE LEFT AND THE HOMO AGENDA

• If you just set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.

Major differences between the two.

Nobody ever accused Margaret of being stunningly attractive.

Also nobody EVER succeeded in making her look stupid or unprepared in an interview. Anybody who tried promptly got his head and balls removed and handed to him.

I really wish Sarah was more like Margaret in the second area.

The same vicious assault American leftists did on Reagan, British lefties, including many actors and musicians, did the same to Thatcher. There was some movie made in the eighties featuring Steven Tompkinson as a coal miner who lost his job because Thatcher closed down some unproductive mines. During one scene, he asked God to kill Thatcher.

I remember watching an episode of "Cracker" where Robbie Coltrane's character blamed some youth's delinquency problems on "Thatcherism." I just about threw a brick through my tv screen. And lost all respect for Coltrane. Especially after he did another Cracker during the Iraq War which was basically an attack of George Bush. Brit lefty celebs are just as nutty or more than American leftist celebs.

A lot is made of Maggie Thatcher being the first (and so far only) woman ever to be Prime Minister of Great Britain, but there is one other little first that is rarely mentioned. She was also the first (and so far only) Prime Minister with a Science degree.

Every other PM has had degrees in the Humanities (Gordon Brown) or Law (Tony Blair), or hasn't had a degree at all (John Major).

This is the key:

“In the process, Margaret Thatcher became one of the founders, with Ronald Reagan, of a school of conservative conviction politics, which has had a powerful and enduring impact on politics in Britain and the United States...”

We’re building on that foundation, but we have too many who want instant gratification. It doesn’t work that way.

In November 2010, we elected more than 700 patriots to state legislatures. The fruit of that planting is seen in all the brushfires set by state legislatures these past 6 months.

We’re not going to roll back 100 years of fascist Marxism in 6 months. It takes patience, planning, organizing and finding leadership to conquer tyranny.

And you, Cincinatus’ Wife, are part of that slow but inexorable evolution back towards freedom. Your posts are excellent. I got your point, back or flank, wherever you need me.

You can fight like a girl - a T-shirt I’m starting see young ladies wear - and I’ll back these women.

Semper Fi.
