His political career in jeopardy, Rep. Anthony Weiner has been making calls to colleagues to apologize for sending raunchy texts and photos to several women. He also apologized to former President Bill Clinton, who officiated at Weiner's wedding last July, said a person with knowledge of the call. The person, who wasn't authorized to discuss the call publicly, spoke only on condition of anonymity. Weiner married Huma Abedin, a close adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, at a lavish ceremony on Long Island last summer.
He reached out to fellow Democratic Rep. Edolphus Towns of New York, according to Towns' spokesman, Julian Phillips, who declined to discuss what the two lawmakers talked about.
So far, none of Weiner's House colleagues have come to his defense as pressure on him to resign has increased.
Tim Kaine, the former Democratic National Committee chairman who is running for the Senate in Virginia, became the first major Democrat to call for Weiner to step aside.
"Lying is unforgivable," he told WCAV-TV in Charlottesville, Va., on Tuesday. "Lying publicly about something like this is unforgivable and he should resign."
Weiner joined the growing list of New York politicians caught in headline-grabbing sex scandals. The disclosure by the married congressman that he sent raunchy texts and photos to several women online placed him in a rogue's gallery of Empire State elected officials better known for sexual shenanigans than legislative accomplishments.

It sounds ot me like his future is Weiner Schnitzel. I don’t blame him for trying to lie his way out since this coming out would make him an A__ hole (class one) and he really stuck his weiner in it. It must be a real come down seeing as how he was such a grand stander. In base ball parlance we would have to say Weiner is a real Hot Dog.
Weiner's district is safely Democrat. He is about as likely to be thrown out of office as Charles Rangel or Maxine Waters.

Sometimes, we need those, who are above it all. The American hero, a true Patriot.
We do not need a weak, smart mouthed man who not only through his actions but his Hubris, sets himself up to be blackmailed.
To influence votes if not give away secrets, just to maintain his power.
Weiner must leave not because of politics but because, in the end, he has no moral base or compass.
General Washington, ran the revolutionary war, the continental army and often supplied them, he asked for nothing.
Congress paid Washington back, $64,355.30 dollars...........exactly one dollar more than he spent and he never took a salary.
Now compare Washington, to the appropriately named weiner............we as a nation have lost our way.
“we”, myself included need to find our way back, back to where our leaders would spend 8 years fighting for freedom to be paid one dollar and be humble about that dollar.
I’m not upset with weiner over his politics ( I do not agree with them) I am upset because weiner has no honor and we all have allowed less than honorable men into leadership roles.
Weiner is a symptom of our society our weakness..........................I hope we can find our way back.
