MILWAUKEE Chaos on the school bus and the I-Team catches it all.
Our story starts with a fed up mom. She says her little girl who is only 4 years old is hit, tormented, her glasses broken by other kids and that it happens all the time.
She says MPS hasn't done anything about it so I- Team reporter Rob Koebel takes the case and wait till you see what your tax dollars are paying for now. A school bus ride that is out of control, little children in danger ride after ride. We follow the girls entire bus ride cameras rolling.
We spot bus number 83. On board -- a little 4 year-old girl. She goes to Frances Starms Early Childhood Center. But her mom says the littles girls first challenge every day is surviving her bus ride.
Ms. Edwards says, Nothing has been done Ive called the school board and the principal
She claims this small child is being tortured daily, punched, hit by other kids, her glasses broken twice and the torment has been going on for months now.
She has come home with sores and bumps and even scars up under her neck from certain things being hit on her, Ms Edwards tells the I-Team Investigators.
The mom says she has begged the school to do something but is only told she needs to get the girl new glasses.
So we decide to take a look at bus number 83 for ourselves.
We find the little girls bus loaded up and ready to roll. We are too with our video camera pointed at the windows at the back of the bus.
As the bus pulls away we follow it. Watching and waiting to see what happens...
It only takes a matter of minutes...

Before my son ever got into school he was already in karate learning how to defend himself.
Once he got into school I told him that if was ever picked on or bullied by another child that he was to kick their ass with extreme prejudice and that I would back him up 100%.
He’s now 13 and has only had one problem, and that he resolved without violence by confronting the idiot in the hall in front of everyone and daring him to fight him right then and there. Problem solved.
He got up to brown-black belt and has settled a few problems outside of school but that’s a different story.
You need to give your kids the tools to deal with life and then let them deal with it.
What “school” has four year old students?
It sounds like this was some kind of pre-school. With buses is very odd though.
I started school when I was 4 but that was a long time ago when such things were actually allowed.
How many of those kids come from families where everyone’s on Social Security Disability - the new Welfare - welfare without the pesky social workers? That kind of meanness is an unintended consequence of dependency...
A simple solution:
TAKE YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL, OR TAKE HER OUT OF THE SCHOOL. After all, the thugs on the bus are attending the same school.
We removed out children from the public “education” system after instances of neglect and incompetence by the teachers and administrators.
One of my kids got tired of being attacked on the bus. He asked the bus driver to remove (they were still at school) the thug. The bus driver refused and drove off. At the stop before my kid’s stop, my son had to call 911. This forced the bus driver to stop. The thug got off and ran. The next stop was my kid’s. They thug was there and FLASHED A KNIFE.
That was the LAST day my kid went to school there.
FYI for parents. The policy in my children’s district has been in affect for at least 6-7 years. Even if you don’t throw a punch AND haven’t done a thing, you will be suspended along WITH the perp. I know, someone attacked my kid at school. He didn’t throw a punch, didn’t know a punch was coming. The resource officer told me of the districts policy. With a policy like that, no wonder schools are turning out (figuratively and literally), thugs who know they can get away with it.
I enrolled my kid in karate classes....within a few months, all the bullying stopped!!!!! wonder why???
Don’t remember bus drivers I’m afraid.
But we didn’t act up. We even kept prety quiet. If we weren’t quiet, he’d stop the bus, put it in park and put on the break and inform us we weren’t moving until the disturbance stopped.
Fights were conducted at the bus stop, after school, after the bus departed. No one would fight ON a bus. Too dangerous. Might distract the driver.
The closest thing to harassment we had was trying to find a seat. If kids didn’t want you to sit with ‘em they wouldn’t make room for you. Solution was to simply sit at the front - all “cool” (idiot) kids wanted to sit at the back.
My daughter took karate.
I broke a few noses and gained a reputation as a crazy person when angry.
Stupid policy. Kid’s going to think “I might as well pop this guy since we’re both going to get in trouble anyway.”
It didn't work, so my friend had a private meeting with the principal.
He told him that the next time his son was attacked, he'd personally break both the principal's legs.
The bullying stopped.
It’s as if they are a bunch of monkeys on the bus not humans.
Four year olds should NOT be riding a bus alone.
yep. One poor kid had to get staples in his head and he was still suspended.
This is the most tragic reason to homeschool.
Good for you! When stuff like this happens, dads need to step up and stop it. About 25 years ago my daughter was being tormented by a girl several years older. So I took off work and confronted the tormentor near the school. Told her I knew the path she took home and where she lived, and unless she stayed away from my daughter I would make sure the problem was solved. My daughter never got bothered by her again. I know, nowadays I'd probably get arrested by the PC people. But dads gotta do what is necessary.
In that case I would have instructed my child to proceed with beating the shit out of the bully, and all with my full support.
