Veteran Republican campaign strategist Ed Rollins, who signed on to steer Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's looming presidential bid, said his recent criticism of Sarah Palin is not part of an electoral strategy.

But the former CNN contributor said he needs to adjust from "being a political analyst back to being a strategist."
"I don't think Palin runs and if she does we will deal with it. There obviously is a trend in the media to link them," Rollins told CNN. "In the long run we want Palin and her people as our allies."
In an interview with POLITICO, Rollins said the Bachmann campaign will be "so much more substantive."
"People are going to say, 'I gotta make a choice and go with the intelligent woman who's every bit as attractive,'" Rollins said.

As another Freeper noted upstream, the simple explanation may be that she has cut a deal to be VP.
Someone said Palin turned down the toe sucker who asked her for a job, which explains his sudden and total disdain for her of late. Is there no honor at all among the ruling class? Just kidding, I know their isn’t.
I knew nothing of her past support of the Carter Mondale crowd, might explain the above notion.
No she won’t, hiring Rollins to destroy Palin has destroyed Bachmann’s credibility with conservatives.

The One Nation Tour bus “vacation” was obviously a whistle stop campaign tour...else why paint the bus up?.....as I said.... open your eyes, and think out of the box..... I’m not a guide dog. Palin’s running an asymetrical campaign right before your eyes.
Other people don’t feel like you do. Romney, no. Bachmann, yes. There is room for two women, only if they enter, just as there has always been for multiple men in the race.
Rollins, who cares? I like Bachmann because she is where I am on illegal immigration. Whether or not she enters, she has that one right.
We all know everything evil, even with a smile, is against Sarah....because she is the ONLY one.
I have had to change my attitude regarding such things. I see Sarah consistently being positive, and as HARD it is for me to follow her leadership, I have no choice but to do so.
What would Michele have, in a debate, against Sarah? NOTHING.
Remember what Sarah had going against her in mclames campaign? They were actually trying to DESTROY her within! How sick is that? That is how I see Michele and her "cohort".
We are in a good verses evil battle at this point in time. If He forgives us, Sarah will reign triumphant, as will we.
That is the goal I am focusing on. Screw the rest of them (although I do hope Sarah chooses West as VP).
Rollins always does this...slips in, hits, backs off some but not all the way, jab, jab, jab til he draws blood, then other candidates smell the blood and jump in too...no surprises here. This is a campaign, not a coronation.

I don’t know much about the Iowa caucuses other than I sure am sick of a select few northern blue states picking our candidate for us everytime...lol! No wonder we wind up with rinos!
How bout we let Texas choose first? Our economy is doing better than almost any state because it’s run by conservatives!! I can tell you one thing though....Texas will be Palin Country the minute she comes out of the gates. We know a thoroughbreed when we see one.
